UNISYS INFORMATION SERVICES GROUP DELIVERING INFOIMAGE SOLUTIONS FOR
PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENTS ON WINDOWS NT

CHICAGO, APRIL 1 1996 --Two new Unisys InfoImage clients, Carnival Cruise
Lines and Nevada State Industrial Insurance System (SIIS), are counting on
Unisys Information Services Group (ISG) systems integration skills and
experience to deploy their imaging solutions via MS Windows NT. Although
their applications differ, these clients share a conviction that NT will
provide the operating reliability and performance that the users of their
new image-enabled information resources require.

DESTINATION, SAVINGS FOR CARNIVAL'S IMAGE-ENABLED ACCOUNTING SOLUTION

The challenge for Unisys was to help Carnival, the world's largest cruise
line, develop new information systems functionality to reduce
paperhandling, improve productivity and facilitate ship-to-shore exchange
of personnel information. The solution? Unisys will integrate its
InfoImage Folder NT system with Carnival's Oracle Financial software
system and its Windows NT client/server application (TCP/IP fiber)
network.

Carol Conine, director of financial technology for Carnival Cruise Lines,
is enthusiastic about the future benefits that their new multi- million
dollar, image-enabled solution will bring to their accounts payable and
crew personnel management operations. "Accounts payable will be the first
application, with 54 users having various levels of access and approval
capability. The new InfoImage Folder NT system is workgroup oriented,
enabling us to route the right documents to the right personnel; handle
invoices once instead of many times; and eliminate time wasted searching
for lost or misplaced documents. It will also help us manage our invoice
payment operations, enabling us to take full advantage of payment
discounts."

Conine said that, based on their survey of comparable Unisys InfoImage and
other imaging systems applications, Carnival can expect an increase in the
speed of invoice processing and an improvement in productivity.

NEVADA IMAGING SOLUTION GIVES CITIZENS A VIEW OF WORKERS' COMPENSATION

In the Fall of 1995, the State Industrial Insurance System of Nevada (SIIS)
awarded Unisys a $9.3 million contract for a work process improvement
solution. Built around Unisys InfoImage Folder production document imaging
software, it is deployed via a wide-area network comprised of over 20
Microsoft Windows NT imaging servers and over 400 workstations spread
throughout the state.

The contract includes a complete range of services to implement and install
the solution, including detailed "best practices" recommendations provided
by Tillinghast, a Towers Perrin company which specializes in insurance
consulting and claims processing that has teamed with Unisys.

"We were impressed with the Unisys ability to provide a complete solution,"
said Cecelia Colling, Assistant General Manager of SIIS. "The imaging
solution they proposed included all the necessary imaging technology,
analysis and implementation services, and insurance-specific solutions we
need to be successful. Their project plan made sense and they addressed
the business issues of greatest concern to us."

"Unisys feels that imaging technology is only one--albeit vital-- milestone
in the development of a complete information management solution for a
client," said Rick Christman, vice president and managing principal of
ISG's Worldwide Center of Excellence.

"In the course of bidding this project, we spent a significant amount of
time on-site looking closely at the way the State Industrial Insurance
System worked, understanding their business and understanding what they
were hoping to accomplish."

One key technological component of the SIIS imaging solution will be the
creation of the SIIS Workers' Comp Workbench, a tailored, job-specific
desktop environment that will provide SIIS staff with all the document
images, data, workflow and information required to make decisions and take
immediate actions in handling workers' compensation claims. The SIIS
Workers' Comp Workbench will be built using the Unisys Desktop Manager
Toolkit, an imaging toolkit that makes it easy to build job-specific
desktop environments. Unisys has used the toolkit to build solutions the
company offers commercially, including the Lender's Workbench,
Underwriter's Workbench, Public Access Workbench, Customer Service
Workbench, and similar environments.

Recognizing the need for improvements in its business operations, SIIS
included an unusual option in its Request for Proposal (RFP) to Unisys and
other vendors competing for the business. Bidders were given three months
to respond to the RFP, and in that timeframe bidders were invited to spend
two weeks at various SIIS offices. The agency believed that higher quality
proposals would result if bidders were given the opportunity to understand
the current process more thoroughly. Furthermore, SIIS believed that this
investment of their own time and resources would pay off in effective
re-engineering and technology recommendations, thereby enabling them to be
more responsive at a lower cost to the citizens and employers of Nevada.

The principal carrier of worker's compensation insurance in Nevada, SIIS is
funded by premiums from 46,500 employers throughout the state. Agency
employees process worker injury claims and ensure that compensation
benefits are paid to employees who qualify.

During fiscal 1994, the agency accepted nearly 50,000 new claims and paid
out $320 million in wage and medical benefits.
