Turtle Beach Ships Recordable Compact Disc Drive

Turtle Beach announced that it will ship a Recordable Optical Storage
Compact Disk Drive for the IBM PC and compatible computers in April '96.
It has entered into an agreement with Ricoh Corp. of Japan to supply its
dust free, fanless technology, double speed record/quad speed read Compact
Disc Unit. This dust free technology provides higher reliability in
creating CDs for consumers. It has also entered into an agreement with
Corel Corporation to bundle its CD Creator Version 2.0, a full featured
software product to enable both the consumer and the professional to
create CDs easily.

With storage space of 680MB, this one time CD recordable media is available
at prices of around $7.00 each. With Turtle Beach's CDR (Record), a
consumer can create an audio disc in less than 30 minutes, store
approximately 78 minutes of audio, serve as a tape back, archive records,
distribute information, prepare multimedia presentations, make photo CDs
and engage in other business/consumer applications.

With a suggested shelf price of $899, CD Master II (TBS-2040R) comes with 4
pieces of Recordable Media, 2X Record/4X Read Internal SCSI Compact Disc,
Corel Creator 2.0 Software, SCSI Bus Mastering Controller Card, a data
base search engine from Alchemy software and easy to read installation
manuals.

"Turtle Beach has always provided the consumer with the latest technology,"
said CEO Martin Goldberg. "Recordable Optical Storage enhances our users
ability to create multimedia compact discs at home or business, at
affordable prices."
