New FormFlow 2.0 Provides Best-of-Breed Electronic Forms for Microsoft
Exchange Server

LAS VEGAS, NV, NETWORLD+INTEROP -- APRIL 2, 1996 -- Symantec Corp.'s
Delrina Group, the leader in electronic forms automation software, today
announced a new way for users to exercise the full power of Microsoft
Exchange Server, with the electronic forms creation and automated routing
capabilities that FormFlow 2.0 provides for Microsoft Exchange. FormFlow
2.0, combined with Microsoft Exchange Server, gives users the ability to
automate their business processes and manage forms and form-based
information. FormFlow users can take advantage of the management and
replication capabilities of Microsoft Exchange Server, to ensure that all
users have access to the most up-to-date forms. FormFlow users can route
forms automatically in Microsoft Exchange and organize forms and work on
them right in their Exchange InBox. In addition to its support for
Microsoft Exchange Server, FormFlow takes full advantage of the Microsoft
BackOffice family of server products.

The features and functionality in FormFlow 2.0 provide users of Microsoft
Exchange Server a significantly advanced e-forms solution, which extends
Microsoft's own forms environment. FormFlow is distinguished by its
sophisticated database connectivity and functionality, full scalability
from simple fill and print functions to enterprise-wide routing
applications, and the ability to print e-forms that look exactly the same
on paper as they do on screen.

"FormFlow 2.0 is a great example of a product tightly integrated with
Microsoft Exchange Server. More and more, organizations recognize the
importance of including electronic forms as part of their global work
environment," said Rob Shurtleff, general manager, Microsoft Exchange
Server Connectivity, at Microsoft. "FormFlow enhances the forms
environment of Microsoft Exchange Server by providing a fully scalable
e-forms solution that enables customers to work with data from multiple
sources. FormFlow's integration with Microsoft Exchange Server provides
customers with the best way to use electronic forms technology to automate
business processes throughout their organizations.

"Virtually all organizations - both large and small - operate with forms.
Until recently, forms were considered principally paper-based, " said John
Dunkle of Workgroup Strategic Services, Inc., a market research firm in
Portsmouth, NH. "Now, through the collaborative efforts of Symantec and
Microsoft, an electronic forms and messaging solution is available which
provides new levels of usability and functionality. With its tight
integration with Microsoft Exchange Server and the other BackOffice
Servers, FormFlow delivers an unparalleled solution. Together, these
products automate a wide range of business processes, enabling workers to
become truly productive."

Forms Management

In the Microsoft Exchange Server environment, FormFlow users now have an
alternative method of managing forms. FormFlow forms and form applications
can be registered to folders in the Microsoft Exchange Registry, providing
access to those forms either through the FormFlow 2.0 Form Library or
through the Compose menu in the Exchange client, where a list of all forms
registered to a folder appears. Forms and form applications can be shared
publicly or globally within Microsoft Exchange folders. Forms used across
an enterprise, for example, would be stored in Global Folders.

"FormFlow 2.0 provides an advanced development environment for creating
forms and form-based applications," said Sam Vetto, systems consultant,
client/server engineering at Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Company.
"The effective management of forms is critical to our organization. We
plan to move to Microsoft Exchange Server and believe that FormFlow 2.0,
in combination with Microsoft Exchange, will continue to provide a
powerful environment for the distribution and management of electronic
forms across our organization."

Enterprise-wide Replication of Forms

FormFlow users now have powerful replication capabilities right in their
messaging infrastructure when using Microsoft Exchange Server. Forms are
automatically replicated throughout an organization to ensure all users
get the most up-to-date version of each form. It is no longer necessary to
manually copy files or directories from one server to another or
physically install forms on individual machines.

Complete Support for Microsoft BackOffice

In addition to its integration with Microsoft Exchange Server, FormFlow 2.0
takes full advantage of the Microsoft BackOffice family. FormFlow 2.0
supports the Windows NT Server network operating system, System Management
Services, and Microsoft SQL Server with FormFlow's native drivers.

"Rather than providing a proprietary server component, FormFlow takes
advantage of the industry standard servers, such as Microsoft SQL Server
and Microsoft Exchange Server, that customers already have in place," said
Teddy Rosenberg, general manager of the Electronic Forms Business Unit at
the Delrina Group.

Organize Forms in Microsoft Exchange InBox

FormFlow users can organize forms right in their Microsoft Exchange InBox,
along with faxes and other e-mail messages. Typically, in an e-mail
environment, the messages in a user's InBox are organized by SUBJECT,
FROM, and RECEIVED. With FormFlow and Microsoft Exchange Server, users can
perform queries based on information within a form using data browsing,
views, and other organization features of the client component of
Microsoft Exchange Server.

Users can now search on data contained in fields on FormFlow forms within
the Microsoft Exchange folder, enabling users to organize forms based on
content. For example, all forms may have a "Date Required" field and an
"Employee Name" field. When viewed in Microsoft Exchange, a manager can
sort the forms by date in order to deal with the most time critical forms
first. If a staff member has a last minute trip, the relevant form would
appear before that of a staff member traveling at a later date. The
manager may instead choose to group incoming messages by "Employee Name"
to help identify who is traveling when. Simply selecting the message
launches FormFlow Filler and presents the entire form.

FormFlow's integration with Microsoft Exchange Server has already been
recognized for product innovation and its contribution to the growth of
the messaging industry, when the preview version received the EMA '95
Messaging Product Excellence Award last May.

About FormFlow

FormFlow electronic forms software allows organizations to leverage their
existing technology investments to automate critical business processes
such as expense reports and human resources applications. Organizations
use FormFlow to create intelligent forms - electronic representations of
paper forms with built-in intelligence such as calculations, links to
databases, and customized toolbars and menus. In addition, organizations
can create form applications with conditional routing and deploy them
enterprise-wide using their e-mail systems. These form applications
present and move information using the existing networks, databases, and
e-mail infrastructures that organizations have in place. FormFlow 1.1 is
currently available for the Windows, MS-DOS, UNIX (SunOS, Solaris, HP/UX,
IBM AIX, SGI), and Macintosh operating systems, with versions for Windows
NT and Windows 95 to follow.

FormFlow 2.0, which includes integration with Microsoft Exchange Server,
new forms management, graphical forms routing/workflow, enhanced security,
and new object-oriented application development and integration, will be
available in the second quarter of calendar 1996.
