SAMSUNG INTRODUCES UNIQUE SPLIT KEYBOARD DESIGN ON ITS SENS 810 HIGH-END,
MULTIMEDIA NOTEBOOK

April 15, 1996 -- RIDGEFIELD PARK, NJ -- Samsung Electronics America's
Information Systems Division introduces the first adjustable, ergonomic
keyboard designed for a portable PC on its new SENS 810 Multimedia
Notebook. In addition to providing a new level of keyboard comfort and
flexibility, the feature-packed SENS 810 offers mobile executives the
longest available battery life (up to 10 hours with the second battery)
and an ultimate array of today's most essential desktop, multimedia and
communications capabilities. The SENS 810 will begin shipping in May.

The SENS 810 is targeted to high-end retail and cost-conscious corporate
buyers with configurations starting at $2,999 featuring a 100MHz Pentium
processor, a quad-speed CD-ROM drive, an 11.3-inch SVGA Dual Scan color
screen, 8MG of EDO RAM, an 810MB hard drive and a Lithium battery. Higher
end configurations pack a Pentium 120MHz or 133MHz processor, a 12.1-inch
SVGA Active Matrix screen, 16MB of EDO RAM, and a 1.3GB or 2.1GB hard disk
drive.

According to Howard Shoobe, Senior National Marketing Manager for Portables
at Samsung's Information Systems Division, "Samsung is very serious about
its commitment to the notebook market and that means offering standout
product like the SENS 810 which combines the most advanced technology and
performance with distinctive features such as the split keyboard. To that
end, we conducted extensive research with notebook users to find out
exactly what mix of features needed to be incorporated in the ultimate
notebook product for use at home and on the road."

The innovative SENS 810 introduces Samsung's unique, ergonomically-designed
Signature adjustable keyboard with 19mm pitch full-size keys. When
expanded and angled out from the middle, the ergonomic keyboard allows
users to more comfortably position their wrists and elbows. This more
natural positioning reduces the ulnar deviation problem caused by the
linear layout of the standard PC keyboard.

The user-configurable keys are programmable for Windows 95 and additional
keys are provided to address specific Windows 95 commands. The SENS 810
utilizes a high-resolution Touchpad, the third-generation pointing device
that is preferred for its maintenance-free performance and ease of use.

Addressing the biggest concern of the mobile computing executive, the SENS
810 offers up to 5 hours of primary battery life via its smart lithium
battery and enhanced power management system. When coupled with the
optional 2nd battery pack, the SENS 810 delivers up to 10 hours of
uninterrupted portable computing time, more than enough to handle a
cross-country or trans-Atlantic flight.

For desktop PC power and speed on the go or at home, the SENS 810 is
available with the latest 2.9 volt Intel Pentium CPU's at clock speeds
ranging from 100MHz up to 133MHz and featuring PCI Bus architecture.
Matching the SENS 810's speed and power with maximum storage capacity,
Samsung offers removable hard disk drives ranging from 810MB up to 2.1GB.
All SENS 810 configurations feature 256KB of pipeline burst mode L2-SRAM
cache and either 8MB or 16MB of next generation EDO memory.

For peerless multimedia presentations the SENS 810 utilizes Samsung's own
designed and manufactured 11.3 or 12.1-inch color SVGA Active Matrix and
Dual Scan displays. Video capabilities include simultaneous display on
both the SENS 810's LCD and an external video device. For impressive big
screen TV presentations, the SENS 810 provides Enhanced Video Out in the
NTSC TV format enabling easy connection to any TV.

A quad- or six-speed internal CD-ROM drive is standard on all SENS 810
configurations. The CD-ROM drive pack is interchangeable with an optional
2nd battery pack, floppy disk drive, or TV tuner offering users endless
flexibility to meet their changing needs. Matching its extensive video
capabilities with the latest in mobile sound technology, the SENS 810
features stereo speakers and integrated 16-bit stereo sound for
unparalleled audio presentations.

The top-of-the-line (133MHz model) SENS 810 includes a 28.8Kbps internal
fax/modem, the fastest available on the market today, for on-the-go access
to a home office system or the internet.

Meeting the growing demand for infra-red connection capabilities, the SENS
810 incorporates an IrDA compatible infra-red port for efficient wireless
communication with a host of peripherals that are either on the market
today or soon to be available such as printers, remote pointing devices,
network interfaces and Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs).

The SENS 810 comes packaged with a full range of "mobile-centric" software,
including Windows 95, online system tutorial, system diagnostics,
CompuServe, America Online, Presentation F/X, Personal Journal, Cosession,
Official Airlines Guide, Puma TranXit, Follow FAX, and enhanced battery
management.

Samsung backs the SENS 810 with extensive service and support including'
free, one-year membership in the company's Executive Support Program
(ESP), which is an express pick up and repair service offering 24-hour
turnaround. The SENS 810 is also backed with 24 hours a day/7 days a week
