MARKET RESEARCH AFFIRMS HIGH QUALITY AND BUYING POWER OF PC EXPO IN NEW
YORK ATTENDEES

The Largest Computer Trade Show on the East Coast Attracts an Exclusive
Audience With Purchasing Power

(Fort Lee, NJ, April 17)-PC EXPO in New York attendees are senior-level
business professionals who possess unmatched technology buying power and
influence, according to an independent study conducted by Exhibit Surveys
of Red Bank, NJ.

The Fourteenth Annual PC EXPO in New York will take place June 18-20, 1996
at the Javits Convention Center, in New York City. The show is the largest
personal computer trade show on the East Coast and the most important
event in the industry, with an expected audience of 850 exhibitors and
more than 130,000 attendees.

The survey results, recently announced by PC EXPO show management, are from
a profile of 1995 attendees. The responses also provided evidence of a
healthy, growing, and loyal PC EXPO audience.

Nearly all of the attendees (94 percent) indicated they influence their
companies' purchasing decisions for computer hardware and peripherals,
software, or communications. More significantly, 65 percent either
authorize the purchase or specify vendors.

Respondents involved in their companies' purchasing decisions planned to
spend an average of $2.9 million for computer hardware and peripherals,
and $2.5 million for software during the next 12 months. According to the
attendee profile, about 63 percent of the respondents are end users who
work in a wide variety of businesses, and 32 percent are employed by trade
resellers, primarily computer consulting firms.

PC EXPO in New York also draws an exclusive audience not being reached by
any other show. There is very low overlap in attendance with other shows.
In fact, a large majority of PC EXPO attendees-almost 60 percent-attend no
other show.

PC EXPO attendees represent companies with multiple and relatively
sophisticated computing environments; 71 percent have client/server
computing -environments and/or peer-to-peer networked PCs or workstations;
56 percent have LAN-to- mainframe, mainframe-to-PC, or workstation
environments; and 82 percent use stand-alone desktop PCs or workstations
either exclusively, or in addition to other more complex environments.
Local area networking, client/server computing, and the Internet are the
technologies considered most important by PC EXPO attendees.

"Since its inception, PC EXPO has been an important barometer for the
business of computing and an excellent showcase for new products," said
Mark Dineen, vice president of Blenheim Group USA, Inc., producers of PC
EXPO. "The survey provides evidence that our original attendee
market-corporate volume buyers with significant buying power-attend the
show to help make purchasing decisions. This independent report clearly
outlines the benefits of PC EXPO to exhibiting companies."

A good mix of first-time and previous attendees also indicates the show is
healthy and growing, according to Mr. Dineen. Nearly two-thirds of the
respondents (64 percent) attended the show in 1994, 47 percent have
attended for the last three consecutive years, and 28 percent were
first-time attendees at last year's show.

The 1995 show, which took place June 20-22 at New York's Javits Center,
featured 830 exhibitors and attracted 131,044 attendees.
