VANCOUVER FILM SCHOOL SELECTS NETPOWER'S CALISTO FOR NEW STATE-OF-THE-ART
3D ANIMATION LAB

Contract with Premier Film School Includes More Than 50 Workstations

LAS VEGAS, NAB, APRIL 15, 1996 -- Marking the first big win for the Pentium
Pro processor/Windows NT platform in the film industry, NeTpower announced
that it has signed a contract with the Vancouver Film School (Vancouver,
British Columbia) for its Calisto high- performance workstations. The
school currently uses UNIX-based Silicon Graphics Inc. systems, Apple
Macintoshes, and PCs at the Vancouver Film School Multimedia campus.

The contract, awarded just one month after Calisto's introduction, includes
more than 50 workstations and is worth approximately half a million
dollars.

Vancouver Film School Selects NeTpower

"At Vancouver Film School it is critical that we offer students the best
tools available to simulate a realistic interactive filmmaking
environment," said James Griffin, president of Vancouver Film School. "We
tested several Windows NT platforms and cost aside, our staff was
universal in its endorsement of the NeTpower Pentium Pro package."

The Calisto Windows NT workstations will be used to create a new
state-of-the-art filmmaking lab that will provide students with hands- on
experience with real world multimedia and professional animation
applications such as Softimage 3D for Windows NT, Autodesk 3D Studio Max,
Lightwave, Fractal Design Painter and Adobe Photoshop. The new lab will go
on-line in June 1996.

"As our facility continues to grow, we plan to add more NeTpower
workstations because the Calisto line offers the performance we need at a
reasonable price, allowing us to achieve a very low student/equipment
ratio." said Griffin.

"We are very excited about our contract with the Vancouver Film School, one
of the most prestigious film schools in North America, and we look forward
to working with them to support the rigors of experimental,
state-of-the-art filmmaking," said Bob Miller, CEO of NeTpower. "Vancouver
Film School's selection of NeTpower validates our open video platform as a
cost- effective alternative for demanding digital video applications."

Vancouver Film School

Vancouver is North America's third largest film/video production center.
Vancouver Film School, founded in 1987, has rapidly expanded to become a
unique and pre-eminent training center for the moving image. The school
offers five immersion programs including film production (Foundation Film
Program), 3D animation & digital effects, multimedia, classical animation
and acting for film and television, as well as more than forty part-time
classes. In 1995, the Vancouver Film School enrolled more than 600
full-time and 1200 part-time students. The Foundation Film Program offers
students more hands-on production experience in ten months than most film
programs offer in three to four years.
