NETPOWER INKS CONTRACT WITH LEADING HOLLYWOOD STUDIO

First Windows NT Systems Sold into Traditional Silicon Graphics Site

LAS VEGAS, NAB, APRIL 15, 1996 -- In a major coup for the Pentium Pro
processor/Windows NT platform in the 3D animation and film industry,
NeTpower today announced a contract with Digital Domain, Inc. for its
Calisto Windows NT workstations.

Digital Domain, the largest digital studio in Los Angeles, well-known for
its special effects and commercial film production, formerly used only
Silicon Graphics, Inc. UNIX-based systems in its three divisions --
feature films, commercial film and new media. The company recently
purchased NeTpower's Calisto Windows NT/Pentium Pro processor-based
systems for its New Media division which develops interactive games.

Digital Domain Selects NeTpower

Scott Ross, Digital Domain's CEO and founder said, "This relationship with
NeTpower allows high-end digital production studios, like Digital Domain,
access to lower cost platforms that produce higher quality imagery. We're
looking forward to the next generation of computing platforms for the
digital studio, and we believe that NeTpower will help catapult us into
offering lower cost, high-quality solutions for our customers."

The Calisto workstations, running Softimage 3D for Windows NT, will
initially be used to develop a new interactive game - "Ted Shred," a
"twitch" game - that will be shown at the upcoming E3 entertainment show
in May.

"In the New Media division, we have typically used several systems that
cost as much as $30,000 each to create the elements needed for an
interactive project," said Steve Schklair, Digital Domain vice president
of New Media. "NeTpower's Calisto offers the performance we need for
approximately $12,000 per system allowing us to maintain superior quality
at a reduced price point, which is key, since game budgets are
considerably less than a typical feature or commercial budget. NeTpower
allows us to dramatically lower our cost of production and, more
importantly, allows us to maintain the same level of quality that our
feature and commercial divisions have built their reputations on."

NeTpower's Calisto workstation family is targeted at high-performance
applications and offers comparable performance to RISC workstations at a
fraction of the cost. The product family bundles Windows NT,
high-performance graphics, software and UNIX integration tools and
services. Prices start at $5,295.

"Just one month after its introduction, Calisto has been quickly embraced
as a cost- effective, open platform for the digital film studio -- the
first serious alternative in a market that has been dominated by Silicon
Graphics," said Bob Miller, CEO of NeTpower. "Our contract with Digital
Domain gives us the opportunity to work closely with a leading edge
production company and this experience is crucial to our long-term open
video platform strategy."

"We are very pleased that Digital Domain has chosen NeTpower's Pentium Pro
processor-based system to develop state-of-the-art interactive content,"
said Ron Whittier, senior vice president and general manager of Intel's
Content Group. "The Pentium Pro processor is really making headway into
the high-performance workstation arena such as digital content
authoring."
