NETPOWER TEAMS WITH AVID AND TRUEVISION TO LAUNCH CALISTO DIGITAL VIDEO
WORKSTATION

Video Test Lab Established by NeTpower to Facilitate Collaboration

LAS VEGAS, NAB, APRIL 15, 1996 -- NeTpower today announced it has
integrated products from Avid Technology, Inc. and Truevision, Inc. to
create a high-performance Calisto digital video workstation on the Windows
NT platform. The new system combines NeTpower's Intel Pentium Pro
processor-based Windows NT Calisto workstation, Truevision's TARGA 2000
PRO video capture card and Avid's MCXpress editing application for
professional video production.

NeTpower will certify the interoperability of the three companies products
for production quality, digital video editing and processing at their
video test laboratory in Sunnyvale, CA. The Calisto digital video
workstation is expected to begin shipping from NeTpower in May 1996 with a
suggested retail price of approximately $25,000 for a fully configured
system.

"NeTpower's strategy is to work closely with brand name vendors in the
video industry to provide open system solutions for video professionals,"
said Skip Stritter, vice president technology at NeTpower. "We are
delighted to have aligned ourselves with two pioneers of professional
quality desktop video production such as Avid and Truevision.

"NeTpower's Calisto digital video workstation competes with today's
UNIX/RISC systems at a fraction of the cost. Together with Avid and
Truevision, NeTpower will bring a new generation of digital video
applications to the film and video industry that combines Windows NT
technology, complete software and hardware solutions and unmatched system
and application performance.

NeTpower has integrated the products to work together seamlessly and to
provide optimum performance. The NeTpower Calisto digital video
workstation will be sold by NeTpower's value-added reseller channels and
includes Windows NT support and a three-year factory warranty.

"We have combined our systems expertise with Avid's and Truevision's
leading edge digital content creation tools because digital video
professionals want a complete Windows NT editing package at an affordable
price," said David Ludvigson, president at NeTpower. "Working with Avid
and Truevision allows NeTpower to integrate cost-effective product
solutions that offer a new level of function and capability on an open
systems platform."

Avid's MCXpress for Windows NT offers exceptional value through a
professional feature set geared to the Windows NT user -- including
support for CCIR-601 media. MCXpress integrates with other Windows
NT-based content creation tools through the import and export of over 20
standard file formats as well as an AVI codec for exchanging full-screen,
24-bit color images. Accessed through an easy-to-use interface, the
product's features include award-winning on-line help, a built-in media
library for streamlined media management, a fully-integrated title tool
and a plug-in effects architecture.

"We are very pleased to be aligned with NeTpower and Truevision to support
this new high-performance workstation," said Dan Keshian, president at
Avid Technology. "This collaboration will provide our customers with a
powerful, Windows NT-based total solution for integrating video editing
and 3D graphics."

For over a decade, Truevision has pioneered the development of professional
quality desktop video production. The company's TARGA 2000 PRO digital
video card has redefined the economics of creating high-quality video on
standard desktop systems by combining unprecedented levels of
functionality, flexibility and performance with an open system approach.

"Our partnership with NeTpower complements our existing strategy of
providing today's digital video professional with complete
high-performance solutions," said Lou Doctor, president at Truevision. "We
are delighted that NeTpower has selected the TARGA 2000 PRO to combine
with their Windows NT digital video workstation."
