MICROSOFT ANNOUNCES CHANNEL AVAILABILITY OF MICROSOFT DEVELOPER NETWORK

Microsoft Developer Network Extends Program to Meet Developers' Needs

REDMOND, WASH. - APRIL 8, 1996 - Responding to requests from developers and
industry resellers, Microsoft Corp. today announced that Microsoft
Developer Network will be available in reseller channels for the first
time beginning May 1. Microsoft Developer Network is an essential
companion for developers implementing Microsoft technologies. By making
Microsoft Developer Network available through resellers, Microsoft gives
developers what many have asked for: the breadth of Microsoft's knowledge,
resources and technology, and the accessibility of local resellers.

According to Ron Gutman, product marketing manager at Programmer's Super
Shop, "Microsoft Developer Network is a key tool for any developer wanting
to effectively and efficiently develop programs that meet the demands of
today's and tomorrow's users."

Over the past three years, Microsoft Developer Network has grown into a
worldwide program with more than 120,000 subscribers. In recognition of
the program's success in meeting the needs of developers, Microsoft
Developer Network received the 1995 Jolt Cola Award for Product
Excellence.
