IN FOCUS SYSTEMS SETS THE STANDARD FOR EASE OF USE WITH NEW FAMILY OF
PROJECTION PRODUCTS

New CableWizard Represents Radical User-Friendly Design of New Multimedia
Projector, Panel from In Focus Systems

WILSONVILLE, ORE. - April 2, 1996 - In Focus Systems today announced that
its new family of products - the LitePro 210 multimedia projector and
PowerView 820 projection panel - are engineered with new, easy-to-use
features including the revolutionary CableWizard' connector system,
sophisticated embedded software and user interface, and next generation
"Smart Remote." Completely plug-and-play, the new user-friendly features
eliminate time-consuming adjustments typically associated with
conventional liquid crystal display (LCD) projectors and are designed to
guide first-time users through set-up and operation.

"The breakthrough ease-of-use features are representative of the thought
and conviction In Focus Systems has to engineer and produce high
performance multimedia projection systems that are easy to use," said Mark
Reed, vice president of sales, marketing and service for In Focus Systems.
"We've been listening to our customers, to the product reviews, and have
responded by creating products that set a new standard in the industry."

The first of its kind, the CableWizard allows users to easily connect their
computer, audio, mouse and monitor loop-through to an In Focus Systems'
multimedia projector or panel with just one cable. The CableWizard
eliminates unsightly cables and gives users added computer placement
flexibility for a more professional presentation. Familiar icons on the
CableWizard indicate where to connect the flexible cables, making set-up
quick and easy. The CableWizard will continue monitor loop-through even
when the projector or panel is turned off, allowing users to preview their
presentation before projecting it to an audience.

Powered by an embedded microprocessor, the intelligent CableWizard is
compatible with PC and Macintosh personal computers and requires no
additional adapters or connectors when switching between computer
platforms. Unique to the Macintosh, the CableWizard will signal the
computer to default to the projector's resolution, eliminating the need
for Macintosh users to specify a second monitor in the computer's control
panel.

The CableWizard comes standard with a nine-foot cable. An optional 40-foot
extension cable is available, requiring no amplification. For the
traveling presenter who doesn't need mouse control, audio or monitor
loop-through, In Focus Systems offers an optional CableWizard Lite, a
lightweight, six-foot cord that connects a computer to the multimedia
projector or panel.

The CableWizard is one among a suite of new user-friendly features from In
Focus Systems, including new sophisticated software and user interface,
and the next-generation "Smart Remote."

Breakthrough auto-sensing electronics and embedded software eliminate
time-consuming and difficult sync, tracking and position adjustments
associated with conventional multimedia projectors. The software in the
LitePro 210 and PowerView 820 automatically identifies and interprets the
computer and video signals coming into the projector and adjusts it for
optimal image quality.

For custom adjustments, a new user interface, with on-line help, guides
users through the Picture, Audio and Display settings. Point-and-click
menu selections are made using the new Smart Remote.

A new, handheld infrared Smart Remote makes it easy to control the LitePro
210 or PowerView 820 without interrupting a presentation. The size of a
typical television remote, the Smart Remote features large backlit buttons
with familiar icons and tactical response for controlling a PC or
Macintosh computer from up to 40-feet away.

The CableWizard connector system, sophisticated embedded software and user
interface, and next generation "Smart Remote all come standard with the
new family of In Focus Systems' projection products - the LitePro 210
multimedia projector and PowerView 820 multimedia projection panel -
available immediately through authorized In Focus Systems resellers and
distributors worldwide. All In Focus Systems' projection products include
a one-year warranty on parts and labor.
