RUN CD-ROMS WITHOUT A CD-ROM DRIVE

Logicraft introduces market's first solution for easy CD-ROM access on the
road, simultaneous access to multiple CD-ROMs and more

NASHUA, NH (April, 1996) - Logicraft Information Systems, Inc., is set to
release FASTCD PERSONAL EDITION, an innovative CD-ROM emulation software
product that makes it possible to run any Windows 95 or Windows NT CD-ROM
application directly off a hard disk, even without a CD-ROM drive.

BENEFITS

For laptop and notebook users, FastCD Personal Edition provides the ability
to take essential CD-ROM applications on the road without a CD-ROM drive.
For desktop users, it makes it possible to run multiple CD-ROM
applications at a time off their local hard disks, with the option of
simultaneously listening to music on their CD-ROM drives. In network
environments, it permits users to access multiple CD-ROM applications
simultaneously off shared images stored on any file server or off one
another's PCs in peer-to-peer fashion. And for all users, it offers the
ability to access CD-ROM applications up to 3 times faster than from a 4x
CD-ROM drive, plus the ability to store each CD-ROM application in a
single container file on the hard drive for easy management.

FAST, EASY IMAGE TRANSFER

FastCD Personal Edition builds CD-ROM images by caching the entire contents
of a CD-ROM in a single container file located on a local or network hard
drive, where they appear as "virtual" CD-ROMs. Load the desired CD-ROM
disc in your local or network CD-ROM drive, click on "Create a FastCD" and
specify whether you want to do it in real time at full CPU speed, in
background mode at a slower rate or on a scheduled basis up to a week in
advance; the program does the rest. At full speed, it typically takes only
40 minutes to transfer a fully loaded, 650MB CD-ROM; many applications are
smaller and will transfer in less time.

OPTIONAL DATA COMPRESSION

For users who want to minimize disk space, FastCD Personal Edition offers
the option to compress the CD-ROM images stored on hard disk. Most CD-ROMs
can be compressed by 20% to 40% with minimal impact on performance.

32-BIT FEATURES, COMPATIBILITY, FLEXIBILITY

FastCD Personal Edition fully supports Windows 95's autorun and other
Windows 95 features. It operates by emulating a CD-ROM drive at a device
layer level, virtually guaranteeing 100% compatibility with all types of
CD-ROM applications. Images can be loaded off a local or networked CD-ROM
drive, docking station or another multimedia computer connected via a
serial or parallel cable. Users can even build images onto local drives
off CD-ROM images already stored on file servers.

AVAILABILITY, PRICING, FREE EVALUATION COPY

FastCD Personal Edition for Windows 95 is set for May release at a cost of
$24.95. A Windows NT version will follow. An evaluation copy that is fully
functional for 90 days is available for downloading at Logicraft's Web
site at http://www.logicraft.com. For more information, contact Logicraft
