CLARiiON AND EVEREX FORM A STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIP TO OFFER RAID SOLUTION TO
EMERGING PC SERVER MARKET

SOUTHBORO, Mass., March 27, 1996 -- The CLARiiON Business Unit of Data
General, the preferred vendor of advanced RAID-based disk array storage
solutions, today announced the signing of an OEM agreement whereby Everex
Systems, Inc. will resell the CLARiiON Series 100, Model C150 storage
subsystems.

Under the agreement, Everex will integrate CLARiiON disk arrays into its
Everex STEP DP servers to offer the high availability strengths of
RAID-based technology to the PC server marketplace. According to IDC
analysts, the worldwide PC server on NT market in 1995 was $955 million
and expected to grow to $1.58 billion in 1996.

first OEM relationship for our new C150 disk arrays, with an OEM focusing
on this fast growing PC server NT market," said Larry Hemmerich, vice

customers with a powerful, yet economical, PC-level client/server storage

The CLARiiON model C150 disk array offers an economical storage solution
for UNIX and PC computing environments and is available in both deskside
and rackmount packaging. The CLARiiON C150 offers ample capacity for
growth with up to 28 GB of disk space and a minimum of 8 MB up to 32 MB of
cache memory, to provide high performance write operation, while
maintaining data integrity. The C150 meets the requirements of demanding
departmental and enterprise applications.
