Design Data Systems Announces Remote Time Entry System

New Time Entry System provides integrated time entry to users on remote
laptops and non-Oracle clients

LARGO, FL (April 15, 1996) -- Design Data Systems, a provider of
Client/Server Financial applications for Oracle, announced DDS Remote Time
Entry as the newest addition to its Client/Server Project Management
suite. The new module will be available second quarter 1996. Remote Time
Entry is designed to provide users an automated way to enter time on their
laptops or client workstations and transfer it - via network, diskette,
e-mail or modem -- back to the central database.

"We have been getting requests for Remote Time Entry for quite some time.
The growing popularity of laptops and distributed processing, though has
now tripled demand," said Lars Reijer, Western Regional Sales Manager for
Design Data.

The module is also ideal for professional service firms billing out for
their time. Price Waterhouse's division in Argentina, one of Design Data's
larger clients, is expected to use the system to support up to 650 users.
Rather than speeding thousands of dollars in deploying time management
sothware on each workstation, for a fraction of the price, Price
Waterhouse would be able to run DDS Project Accounting on the server and
install the Remote Time Entry System on each of the clients.

The new system currently supports three different toolsets -- Oracle
Developer/2000, Powerbuilder and Oracle Power Objects -- to support both
Oracle and non-Oracle environments. As a result, companies are not forced
to purchase and install the Oracle toolset on every remote workstation
unless it's necessary. That's a definite cost savings.

The new module is designed to take the place of obsolete time cards and
expense reports for users that are not on a company's main accounting
system. It tracks billable and non-billable hours, company expenses,
borrowed labor, mileage and entertainment expenses. It also supports
credit cards, advances and personal charges. This information can be
allocated across projects, jobs and activities which integrates directly
into DDS Project Accounting.

Data is validated upon entry into the remote system against previously
setup projects, jobs and activities. All required fields must be entered
to release a time record. Once time is released (i.e., end of day, end of
week) for export to DDS Project Accounting, the data cannot be changed. It
is subsequently sent to DDS Project Accounting via the network, diskette,
e-mail or modem and imported for supervisory approval, if applicable. Any
expense information is forwarded to DDS Accounts Payable for processing.

DDS Project Accounting supports time entry processing as well as cost
accounting, invoicing, resource scheduling and estimating budgeting. The
time and expenses entered can be allocated across several projects and
work order management -- part of Design Data's new robust Order
Entry/Distribution System. Systems Integrators are especially ecstatic
about the Remote Time Entry System because they can now track time from
the field against Orders In Process.

Reports are available within DDS Project Accounting (upon successful
importation of data), detailing labor distribution, employee yields, WIP
analysis, billing and profit summaries. Estimates To Complete (ETC) detail
and variances are supported as well as budgetary reports, forecasts and
variances. Sales Tax Summaries also are included.

Availability, Pricing and System Requirements

DDS Remote Time Entry is scheduled for release during the second quarter
1996. The base cost is about $7,500, plus between $100 and $200 per user,
depending on the number of users and the platform. The application will
run in all major Windows environments, including Macintosh. It requires
4-8 MB RAM and about 10-20 MB hard disk space.
