Southboro, Mass., April 1, 1996 -- The CLARiiON Business Unit of Data
General, the leader in open RAID-based disk array storage technology,
today announced that it has officially launched into the world of
cyberspace with its own World Wide Home Page on the Internet
(http://www.clariion.com). The CLARiiON Home Page will provide to channel
partners, potential channel partners, potential users of CLARiiON
technology, and prospective employees, a single source of current and
useful information regarding its disk arrays, software, support and
services, as well as job opportunities, in a visually exciting
environment.

The CLARiiON Home Page's primary focus sections are entitled: "What's New
At CLARiiON", "Disk Arrays", "Software", "Support & Services", and
"Company Information".

The "What's New At CLARiiON" section will detail all press releases and
announcements, regardless of whether they are related to disk arrays,
software, or support and services. Furthermore, throughout the year, as
CLARiiON participates in special events (i.e., product test-to-scales,
trade shows, etc.), designated links will also be added to bring the
visitor to supplementary information such as location, contacts, sponsors,
and related resources.

The "Disk Arrays" section will also be divided into subsets of information:
"The CLARiiON Disk Array Family", "Application Notes: CLARiiON Supported
Environments", "How Do I Buy A CLARiiON Array?", and "CLARiiON White
Papers". It is in this section that each CLARiiON disk array's (Series
100, 1000, and 2000) features, benefits, and specifications will be
detailed. The "How Do I Buy A CLARiiON Array?" section will furnish
visitors with a listing of CLARiiON channel partners (with links to many
of the partners' home pages), and complete information with respect to the
new CLARiiON Leasing Program.

The "Software" area on the site will include detailed information about
CLARiiON ArrayGUIde, disk array management software; GuardWare,
multi-server failover software; Applications Transparent Failover (ATF),
redundant SCSI I/O path management; and the Application Notes of CLARiiON
supported environments.

The fourth section of the CLARiiON Home Page is entitled "Support &
Services" It will provide information regarding the level of support and
services channel partners can depend-on from CLARiiON. This section will
be a primary vehicle for the distribution of CLARiiON technical
information.

The final primary section of the CLARiiON web site is entitled "Company
Information". This section is divided into five subsets of information:
"The CLARiiON Company Backgrounder", "CLARiiON Career Opportunities",
"Press Releases", "Customer Profiles", and "Editorial Coverage".
