Equipment Corporation today announced the immediate availability of a new
version of AutoCAD Release 13 software for Windows NT on Alpha Systems.
Now, nine* AutoCAD R13 platforms contain the same object-oriented
application development environment, AutoCAD Runtime Extension (ARX). ARX
lets developers build fast, high-performance, easy-to-use applications for
AutoCAD R13 customers. AutoCAD R13c4 for Windows NT on Alpha also includes
new features, stability enhancements, and performance improvements.

CUSTOMER BENEFITS OF AUTOCAD R13 ON WINDOWS NT ON ALPHA

AutoCAD Release 13c4 for Windows NT on Alpha Systems offers scaleable
AutoCAD R13 performance and leading-edge workstation performance for
drawing regeneration, rendering, visualization and solid modeling, in the
familiar Windows environment. Customer-benefits of AutoCAD Release 13c4
for Windows NT on Alpha, include true multitasking and multiple sessions,
long file names, customizable toolbars, True-Type fonts, and several
productivity enhancement features.

* AutoCAD R13 provides interoperability among nine platforms, including
MS-Windows 95, MS-Windows NT, MS-Windows 3.1O, MS-DOS, Windows NT on Alpha
Systems, and four UNIX platforms, including IBM RISC System/6000 running
AIX, Sun UltraSPARC and SPARCstation on Solaris, Silicon Graphics, Inc.
R4000, and R5000-based IRIX systems, and Hewlett-Packard 9000 Series 700
workstations using HP-UX.

NEW FEATURES OF AUTOCAD R13 FOR WINDOWS NT ON ALPHA

Some of the new features in AutoCAD R13c4 for Windows NT on Alpha include,
SOLPROF/ SOLVIEW/SOLDRAW, ASILISP, ASE Drivers, Direct distance entry, Cue
Cards, New text style dialog, ASILISP, Common Desktop Environment (CDE)
with drag and drop, DSVIEWER, Graphical Install, Single-line MTEXT editor,
Solid Profiling, Viewing, and Drawing Layout for AutoCAD R13 solids, and
Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path names.

AutoCAD Release 13 software for Windows NT on Alpha is available on CD-ROM
for a suggested retail price (SRP) of US$3,750. AutoCAD Release 13
software for personal computers, including MS-Windows 95, MS-Windows NT,
MS-Windows 3.1, and MS-DOS, are all available on a multiplatform license
for an SRP of US$3,750 on CD-ROM and US$3, 995 on diskettes. AutoCAD R13
for UNIX, including Sun, HP, SGI, and IBM, is each available on CD-ROM for
a suggested retail price (SRP) of US$3,750 each.
