AT&T WorldNet Service will now accept ads on its website

MARCH 27, 1996 -- NEW YORK, N.Y. -- AT&T today announced that it is
accepting advertising on AT&T WorldNet Service, the value-added Internet
service that has attracted more than a quarter-million requests for access
software in the last month.

Thirteen companies are participating in an AT&T WorldNet Service
advertising preview in connection with the advertising program. They are
Delta Air Lines, JCPenney, and MasterCard International, represented by
Modem Media, a leading interactive marketing and advertising company;
Discovery Channel, Duracell, and The Cox Communications Atlanta Games
site, represented by i-traffic, Inc., a leader in media planning tools and
services for Internet advertising; Adobe Systems, Inc., The HomeArts
online network from Hearst New Media & Technology, a division of The
Hearst Corporation; National Basketball Association, Sony Electronics,
Personal Information Co., 1-800-FLOWERS, Frontier Technologies, and
MCA/Universal.

Advertisers on AT&T WorldNet Service will receive highly competitive
industry rates, preferred ad locations and a guaranteed audience of AT&T
customers, many of whom will be AT&T long-distance customers as well.

A charter advertising package is available for AT&T WorldNet Service
through the end of April. Charter advertisers will have banner ads placed
in a sequential queue on the "At Home" or "At Work" home page throughout
the charter period as well as owning exclusive sponsorship of one of the
22 targeted content category pages (as available). The home page queue
will have a maximum of 22 advertisers. The charter package, competitively
priced at $30,000, guarantees 1 million impressions over a display period
of April 29-July 28. Advertisers who sign up now will have the opportunity
to display their ads during the month of April gratis. Other charter
advertiser benefits include: Special discounted rates through 1996, unique
advertising and co- marketing opportunities; and sponsor index inclusion.

Advertisers on AT&T WorldNet Service will have a wide variety of effective
placement categories including fourteen "At Home" and seven "At Work"
category pages covering a wide variety of subject areas for targeted
advertising. Other advertising opportunities include content category
logos; box/banner combinations for tertiary pages, and box/banner
combinations for premium space, which includes placements in "Today's
Features," "Celebrity Spotlights," Search, Directories, and "My World."
All of the categories and available ad space are listed on the attached
rate card.

HomeArts (http://homearts.com/), the leading online content provider for
information about the home, which is owned by Hearst New Media &
Technology, will be among the advertisers to appear on AT&T WorldNet
Service advertising preview.
