Apple, Paramount Launch "Mission: Impossible" Campaign

HOLLYWOOD, April 18, 1996...Paramount Pictures and Apple Computer, Inc.
have joined forces in an innovative, large-scale promotional campaign
centering on "Mission: Impossible," Paramount's upcoming adventure
thriller starring Tom Cruise.

The new initiative underscores Paramount's commitment and leadership in
multimedia and the Internet while reinforcing the positive attributes of
Apple's brand.

Arthur Cohen, president of worldwide marketing for Paramount Pictures'
Motion Picture Group, said: "We've designed an exciting and positive
promotional campaign with Apple Computer that complements Paramount's very
aggressive overall marketing strategy for `Mission: Impossible.'"

Satjiv S. Chahil, Apple's senior vice president of corporate marketing,
said, "Our work with Paramount on `Mission: Impossible' is another example
of Apple's bold new marketing approach."

"Mission: Impossible" will be released in the U.S. and Canada on May 22,
1996. Directed by Brian De Palma, the Paramount Pictures Presentation is
the first film from Cruise/Wagner Productions, Tom Cruise and Paula
Wagner's production company based at Paramount. Cruise and Wagner are the
producers, and Paul Hitchcock is the executive producer. The screenplay is
by David Koepp and Robert Towne, and the story is by David Koepp and
Steven Zaillian based on the TV series created by Bruce Geller.

Representing one element of Paramount's extensive and varied promotional
campaign for "Mission: Impossible," the Apple promotion includes
advertising, merchandising, in-theater and Internet programs as well as
tie-ins with Apple dealers.
