VREAM INTRODUCES UNIVR TECHNOLOGY FOR VIRTUAL REALITY ON THE WEB

UNIVR TO INCLUDE SUPPORT FOR INDUSTRY STANDARDS INCLUDING MOVING WORLDS
VRML 2.0 AND JAVA

THE MOST ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FOR DOING VIRTUAL REALITY ON THE WEB

CHICAGO, IL (HTTP://WWW.VREAM.COM) - February 21, 1996 - VREAM, Inc., a
leading provider of virtual reality software for the Web, today introduced
its UniVR technology, which will provide full support for industry
standard virtual reality specifications, including the Moving Worlds VRML
2.0 proposal and the Java development language.

UniVR, which stands for Unified Virtual Reality, will also allow VREAM's
products to maintain a common user interface and set of advanced
functionality across product lines and hardware platforms. UniVR will be
incorporated across VREAM's entire line of products, including the WIRL
virtual reality browser for the Web, and the VRCreator Virtual Reality
Authoring Tool. UniVR will also be licensed for integration within third
party software products.

"The introduction of UniVR allows VREAM to apply its advanced virtual
reality technology to the emerging standards of today, including Moving
Worlds VRML 2.0 and Java", said VREAM president, Edward LaHood. "The
integration of VREAM's technology with today's emerging standards will
allow users to create and experience the most advanced virtual reality web
pages and applications available in the market today."

UNIVR AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY WITHIN WIRL VR BROWSER

The first product based on UniVR technology, VREAM's WIRL Virtual Reality
Browser for the Web, is available immediately from VREAM's world wide web
site at www.vream.com. The WIRL VR Browser currently runs as a plug-in to
Netscape Navigator 2.0, and supports VRML 1.0, Java, and VREAM's open
VREAMScript virtual reality definition language. The incorporation of
UniVR technology within WIRL allows virtual reality worlds created today
using VRML 1.0 to be enhanced with dynamics, behaviors, and logic using
Java or VREAMScript. With the current version of WIRL, users can play a
virtual slot machine, fly a helicopter, see a cyber-gymnast flip, throw a
virtual TV, watch business logos spin, view stock prices change in 3D,
visit an exotic island in Cyberspace, and much more.

Future versions of WIRL will support the complete Moving Worlds VRML 2.0
specification, multi-user interactivity and further industry standards as
they emerge. Additionally, WIRL will soon be available as a plug-in for
Microsoft's Internet Explorer, as a plug-in for Spyglass' Mosaic, and as a
stand-alone VR browser application. WIRL will also be available on the
Mac, Sun, and SGI platforms. Because it is based on UniVR, WIRL will
maintain a common user interface and set of advanced VR functionality
across all of these platforms.

UNIVR TO BE INCORPORATED INTO VRCREATOR AUTHORING TOOL

UniVR will also serve as the foundation of VREAM's VRCreator Virtual
Reality authoring tool. VRCreator will allow users to create virtual
reality web pages and applications that are based on emerging industry
standards such as VRML and Java. This will allow virtual reality content
created by VRCreator to be experienced using the WIRL VR Browser, or other
third party browsers such as Live3D from Netscape.

UNIVR TO BE LICENSED TO THIRD PARTIES

UniVR technology will also be made available for licensing to third party
companies interested in integrating virtual reality technology into custom
products. A UniVR developers toolkit will be available for licensing in
mid-1996.

"Because UniVR is completely open, it provides a flexible infrastructure
for integrating new technologies." said Ken Gaebler, vice president of
sales and marketing for VREAM. "For example, a UniVR-based plug- in for
Netscape could potentially allow a virtual world developed with
Microsoft's ActiveVRML to be executed directly within the Netscape
environment."
