ANDOVER, MASSACHUSETTS, February 19, 1996 -- Now that the holidays are
over, and you've hooked up that brand new multimedia PC, what are you
going to on it? The usual assortment of reference CDs? Perhaps another
violent adventure? How about playing something different-really different.
How about playing Quest For Fame, the world's first truly interactive rock
and roll adventure game that allows consumers to plug in a Virtual Pick to
their PC and play along with America's premier rock band, Aerosmith, in a
climb to the top of the rock and roll world!

Available nationwide for a suggested retail price of $48.95 from IBM
Multimedia, Quest For Fame is a uniquely interactive CD-ROM music title
that casts the player in the role of an aspiring guitarist whose ambition
is to make it to the top-to the concert stage with Aerosmith. To get there
the player must, using the Virtual Pick as the Air Guitar, meet a series
of fun-filled but demanding musical challenges.

Virtual Music Is A Real Time Plug & Jam Interactive Experience!

Designed to look like an oversized guitar pick, the Virtual Pick is
strummed against any hard surface (such as a tennis racket, tabletop,
baseball bat). The Virtual Pick actually picks up the resistance of each
"stroke" and, through Virtual Music's proprietary internal switching
technology, translates the signal into guitar sounds that are played back
by the computer-in real time!

Virtual Music Is Fun For The Whole Family To Play!

Featuring original and off-stage footage of Aerosmith's five band members,
Quest For Fame takes players through 11 different game scenarios. At each
level, the player encounters a cast of animated and video characters who
respond instantly to his or her performance. Stops on the climb to the top
include the bedroom, where the adventure begins; the garage, where players
practice in a local band; Nail That Riff, an interactive music game show;
The Roadkill Grill, a seedy gig; The Fabulous Polyester Lounge, a cheesy
music hall where anything can happen; Snooky's Juke Joint, an exclusive
after hours blues club; Aero Studios, Aerosmith's state of the art
recording studio; Yak Hall, another 'go nowhere fast' venue; the Tour Bus;
and the Humongodome stadium, where players perform in real time with
Aerosmith-if they make it that far.

Quest For Fame includes six of Aerosmith's multi-million-selling hits-"Love
In An Elevator," "Dude Looks Like A Lady," "Eat The Rich," "Shut Up &
Dance," Walk On Water," and "Livin' On The Edge."
