Starfish Software Brings Sidekick to U.S. Robotics' Breakthrough
Pocket-Size Organizer for PC Users

(Demo '96, Palm Springs, CA -- January 29, 1996) -- Starfish Software, Inc.
today announced plans to link Sidekick, the world's most popular personal
organizer, with the new Pilot pocket-sized organizer from the Palm
Computing division of U.S. Robotics. The Palm Computing division of U.S.
Robotics (NASDAQ: USRX) announced Pilot, the first electronic organizer to
offer one-touch synchronization with a desktop PC, today at Demo 96.

"Starfish Software's mission is to deliver 'Smart Internet Solutions' to
customers around the world," said Philippe Kahn, chairman and co-founder
of Starfish Software. "Thanks to the outstanding and unprecedented ease of
desktop integration offered by the Palm Pilot, users will be able to take
our Sidekick/Java enterprise scheduling solution for the Internet and
Intranet with them wherever they go."

Pilot differs from current hand-held organizers, because it offers
one-touch PC connectivity, making it easy to synchronize with a laptop or
desktop PC. Now mobile Sidekick users have an effective, innovative
solution for keeping contact information and schedules up-to-date whether
at their desks or on the road.

According to Donna Dubinsky, general manager of the Palm Computing division
of U.S. Robotics, "Desktop PCs and LANs house a wealth of information that
users should be able to access wherever they are. The key to this is
having a small, flexible and open OS that works seamlessly with both a
mobile device and a desktop machine. The Palm OS provides exactly this,
offering vast new mobility potential for the millions of Sidekick for
Windows and Windows 95/NT users around the world."

Pricing and availability for the utility that will link Sidekick and the
Palm Pilot will be announced at a later date.
