Starfish Software Unveils Internet Dashboard at Demo 96

Intuitive graphical utility works with Netscape Navigator and other 32-bit
Windows 95 Worldwide Web browsers

(Palm Springs, CA -- January 29, 1996) -- At Demo 96, the computer
industry's premiere product showcase, Starfish Software, Inc. unveiled
Internet Dashboard during an on-stage presentation today. The newest
addition to the popular Dashboard family of intuitive graphical utilities
allows Internet users to organize and synchronize frequently- visited Web
sites (including Bookmarks in Netscape (NASDAQ: NSCP) Navigator and
Favorites in Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) Internet Explorer as well as receive
notification when sites have been modified.

Internet Dashboard is browser-independent and works with the latest 32-bit
Windows 95 Worldwide Web browsers and online tools, allowing users to
switch between online activities within a single integrated environment.

"Internet Dashboard makes browsing the Web easier, faster and more fun,"
said Philippe Kahn, chairman and co-founder of Starfish Software. "It
works hand in hand with Netscape Navigator and is a milestone in
fulfilling our mission to provide the Web community with 'Smart Internet
Solutions'."

"Like any major computing platform, the Internet encourages innovative and
useful new utilities," commented Chris LeTocq, software analyst at
Dataquest. "Just as the original Dashboard became a 'must-have' product
for the savvy Windows user, Internet Dashboard offers Web users a
collection of new, smart tools that are sure to become indispensable."

Internet Dashboard Features

Highlights of Internet Dashboard include:

QUICK LAUNCH - allows users to visually organize and synchronize
Web URLs and applications in user-defined tabs as well as receive
  notification when a Web site or file has been modified;

ONLINE MONITOR - gives users the ability to audit and monitor their
  Internet and online connections; and

VIRTUAL SCREENS - let users manage multiple Internet sessions
  simultaneously.

"Internet Dashboard delivers 'cruise control' for the information highway.
Using the Quick Launch in Internet Dashboard frees online users from
entering long Web URLs or arcane commands. Instead, they can choose
succinct labels and tab names that are meaningful," noted Ian Robinson,
Director, Dashboard Product Management. "The Online Monitor can log the
time spent in each session and track monthly 'free hours' to more
efficiently manage users' online time and activities."

According to Alan Linker, an Internet Dashboard beta tester and independent
computer consultant, "Internet Dashboard really helps me keep all my Web
activities organized--sites I've visited, places I want to return to, the
time I've spent online with each provider, the various software packages I
use while active on the Internet. With Internet Dashboard, I can navigate
the Internet with much more control, making my time online more
productive. All these features make it a fantastic tool for anyone using
the Internet, whether for business or recreational purposes."
