SQA Launches Free Educational Seminar on Testing Client/Server Applications
and Benefits Quality Assurance Brings to Today's Enterprise.

Seminar series focuses on end-to-end testing of enterprise client/server
applications; SQA's newest products and technology will be demonstrated
live.

WOBURN, MASS. -- FEBRUARY 19, 1996 -- SQA, INC., the leader in automated
testing of Microsoft Windows client/server applications, today announced
the largest North American seminar series to address the challenges and
demands of testing enterprise client/server applications. Co-sponsored by
PC WEEK magazine, the seminar series, entitled 'Testing Enterprise
Client/Server,' will be held in 54 cities throughout North America,
starting February 2nd and running until March of 1996. Based on the
success of the 1995 SQA seminar program, which educated over 5,000
attendees on the benefits of testing enterprise client/server, SQA is
projecting over 3,000 registrants for this series.

The half-day program will educate CIO's, IS directors, client/server
developers, quality assurance managers, project leaders, professional
testers, and database designers on how to develop and implement
world-class client/server testing using SQA Suite™. The agenda
includes presentations by representatives of SQA, as well as live product
demonstrations using SQA Robot™, SQA Manager™, and SQA
LoadTest™ for end-to-end testing of real-world client/server
applications. Case studies of how companies like The New England,
Weyerhaeuser, Citibank, and others are using SQA products and technology
to increase testing productivity will be presented. In addition, there
will be a discussion of SQA Process™, the industry's only formal
methodology for testing GUI client/server applications.

"We've partnered with PC Week magazine to help educate the marketplace on
the challenges of building client/server applications and the benefits
that automated testing brings to corporations," said Ron Nordin, president
and CEO of SQA. "As the move to enterprise client/server continues to
accelerate, many companies are discovering they need automated
client/server testing - but they aren't sure how to implement it. SQA's
seminar series helps these companies understand the issues involved in
testing object-based client/server applications, and gives users a
framework for devising a strategy that will work for them. Testing
Enterprise Client/Server is a must for anyone deploying mission-critical
client/server applications."

Seminar Topics

STRATEGIC VIEW OF CLIENT/SERVER: This portion of the program
discusses the current state of the client/server industry and
long-term trends. Strategic platforms, operating systems, network
hardware, and the effect of Windows 95 will be covered.

DEMANDS OF TESTING CLIENT/SERVER: Testing GUI-based client/server
applications is more difficult and complex than testing mainframe-
based legacy applications. The challenges involved in testing
GUI-based client/server applications will be discussed, along
with a new testing paradigm developed by SQA and proven in the
field.

SQA SUITE: SEAMLESSLY-INTEGRATED TESTING FOR ENTERPRISE
CLIENT/SERVER: This portion of the program will introduce SQA Suite
and discuss the fundamentals of how the award-winning testing
solution addresses all phases of the GUI client/server testing
process.

LIVE PRODUCT DEMONSTRATIONS: Sample client/server applications
will be used to demonstrate the power of all the products in SQA
Suite. SQA Robot and SQA Manger will be demonstrated first, showing
how an end user can perform client-side testing and integrated
defect management and workflow tracking. SQA LoadTest 4.0, a new
upgrade of this product, will then be used to demonstrate SQA's
solution for load, stress, and multi-user testing for both the
client and server sides of a client/server application.

CUSTOMER CASE STUDIES AND SQA STRATEGIC DIRECTION: The seminar
will end with a discussion of how corporations are using SQA Suite
to fully test their client/server applications. In addition, SQA
will discuss its strategic vision of client/server testing for
the 90s and beyond.
