Spyglass and MicroTouch Announce Strategic Technology Alliance to Bring
World-Wide Web Access to the General Public

Methuen, MA. -- Monday, February 6, 1996 -- MicroTouch Systems, Inc.
(Nasdaq: MTSI), the world's largest touchscreen manufacturer, and
Spyglass, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPYG), a leading provider of embedded World-Wide
Web technology, today announced a technology licensing agreement whereby
MicroTouch will license Spyglass Mosaic Web client technology. The first
software product resulting from the alliance will be introduced by
MicroTouch within the next month.

"Today, over 8 million people in the United States are 'on-line' -- but the
other 256 million are still missing the opportunity to make their lives
easier, more interesting, and more productive by accessing the Web," said
Marc Miller, executive vice president of Spyglass marketing. "The unique
combination of MicroTouch's 14 years of experience in offering interactive
technology for use by the public and Spyglass' open, embedded Web client
technology will result in coming products that address this need for more
widely available access. The day will soon come when everyone who doesn't
have Internet access at work or at home will be able to access the Web in
public locations."

"As 'public' as the Web is, there are still millions of Americans who don't
have access to the Internet and don't yet benefit from the services and
information on-line -- and even those who do can't stay connected when
away from their desk or home," said Jim Logan, MicroTouch president.
"General public access is necessary for Web site publishers to reach out
beyond today's limited audience. The partnership between MicroTouch and
Spyglass offers a great opportunity to take the Web to this next level of
accessibility."
