ST. LOUIS, MO -- February 19, 1995 -- SalesKit Software, the leader in
open-architecture sales force automation (SFA) software, announced today
the addition of unique Internet support for its SalesKit OPEN customers.
Beginning with SalesKit OPEN version 5.2, SalesKit users can include
targeted, interactive links to Internet resources, providing their field
and sales forces with unprecedented access to Internet services while
maintaining ease-of-use for mobile clients.

"Access to vital Internet resources is a must for mobile professionals,"
said Bob Ingersoll, vice president of Marketing for SalesKit Software.
"But the real key is to make the vast resources of the net accessible and
usable within the context of the customer's work."

Rather than providing broad and unstructured Internet access, SalesKit OPEN
5.2 allows corporations to organize and deliver specific Internet access
so that queries, searches and news are presented to the mobile user in the
context of his or her work. "Professionals in the field may not have the
time to do exhaustive searches on the Internet," said Gary Williams, vice
president of technology and development for SalesKit Software. "What
SalesKit OPEN 5.2 gives them is the ability to
receive--instantly--information already culled from the vast resources of
the net by their colleagues or corporate IS, or gives them a useful
starting point to begin their searches. SalesKit OPEN 5.2 will serve as
the mobile professional's Internet filter, cutting away the time-consuming
and often frustrating experience of finding information on the Internet."

Kathleen Pierce Simonsen, worldwide industry manager, sales force
automation at Microsoft, commented,"SalesKit's intention to support
Microsoft( Internet Information Server (IIS) is indicative of an overall
trend forming in the SFA industry, which is rapidly recognizing that IIS
provides one of the most powerful web servers available, making it easy to
create and manage a web site, and last, but certainly not least, IIS
enables a new generation of web applications."

TARGETED WEB BROWSING

From virtually any segment of the SalesKit Software interface, a client can
launch targeted queries. For example, if a field sales professional is
examining a lead on a potential customer, "Xanadu Corporation," from
within his lead management program he can launch a web browser search for
information on Xanadu. Once presented with the information, he can attach
it to his lead information database. If Xanadu Corporation is in the
medical supply business, the user can launch similar web queries--through
preprogrammed links to such search engines as Yahoo. In addition to
user-initiated web searches, corporations can actively forward Internet
links they feel would be used directly to the appropriate field force
personnel.

MICROSOFT EXCHANGE INTERNET SYNCHRONIZATION

The key benefit of any SFA product is to keep the field sales
representative's database in synch with the corporate database. SalesKit
OPEN, using SalesKit's SyncWare, handles all synchronization as a
background task of a normal Microsoft Exchange session, including
Microsoft Exchange Internet sessions. A sales rep can ensure their
database is up-to-date simply by calling a local Internet access number
and picking up their latest mail. Microsoft Exchange and SyncWare handle
the rest, behind the scenes and without further intervention.

ON-LINE ADD-ONS WITH VISUAL BASIC SCRIPT

With the Microsoft Visual Basic( Script and Sales Kit OPEN's tight
integration with Microsoft Internet Explorer, add-ons for SalesKit OPEN
can be created by corporate in-house Visual Basic Programmers. These
additions can be made quickly, as new business needs and short-term
projects demand. The field sales representative can then immediately use
the new add-on by accessing his corporate web page from SalesKit OPEN and
selecting the add-on from a web menu. Through the use of SalesKit OPEN's
published API set, these add-ons and many other browser and Internet
applets may be able to interact with SalesKit's database.

TARGETING NEWSGROUP NEWS DELIVERY

Mobile professionals can be automatically forwarded relevant newsgroup news
items through their current e-mail system, receiving updates on industry
trends, competitors and statistical data. This information can
interactively link to current lead and group sales activities, be further
annotated and updated with information from the field, then forwarded back
to corporate IS for further distribution.

BI-DIRECTIONAL SYNCWARE

Using SalesKit Software's unique bi-directional SyncWare capabilities,
targeted Internet data received by one field professional can be forwarded
into a corporate Internet resource site for further use across the entire
enterprise. Bi-directional data and resource sharing insures that useful
information can be easily disseminated throughout an organization,
eliminating the need for individual searches to retrieve the same
information. In addition, the corporation can add pertinent information to
successful searches and forward the information to all relevant parties
through Internet mail or through existing mail packages.

MICROSOFT SUPPORT

SalesKit OPEN provides full support of Microsoft's upcoming Windows NT( Web
Server software, Microsoft Internet Information Server, and development
tools, insuring easy integration into existing corporate sites. In
addition, SalesKit OPEN will feature the Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0
web browser as the primary mobile interface to the world wide web.
Imbedded links to the Microsoft Internet home page and the Microsoft
Internet technical support forums will provide SalesKit OPEN customers
unparalleled access to software support and information, making their
Internet access as trouble-free and productive as possible.

INDUSTRY STANDARD

The Internet components for SalesKit OPEN 5.2 adhere to industry-standard
transport protocols, and can be used in conjunction with current corporate
web and Internet services. Mobile client implementation of the SalesKit
OPEN Internet links are through standard email and popular web browser
software packages.
