PNY SHIPPING MEMORY UPGRADES FOR TOSHIBA'S JUST-LAUNCHED SATELLITE 100 CS
NOTEBOOK COMPUTER

Moonachie, NJ (February 2, 1996) -- PNY Electronics, Inc., a global leader
in the design, manufacture and distribution of memory modules for personal
computers, printers, workstations and portable computers, is shipping
memory upgrades for Toshiba's new Satellite 100 CS notebook computer.

The new notebook is a value-priced version of the popular Satellite Pro
410. Like its more expensive cousin, the Satellite 100 CS uses extended
data output (EDO) memory. According to Joe Klein, PNY's director of R&D;
"EDO enables the memory controller to cut as much as 10 nanoseconds off
the wait period between instructions. When the processor gets data faster,
applications run faster. In fact, EDO is generally 15% faster than
conventional DRAM."

The Toshiba Satellite 100 CS comes with 8 MB of memory soldered on the
motherboard and is easily expandable to 40 MB. PNY's upgrades are
available in 8, 16, and 32 MB configurations and come with a lifetime
warranty. Suggested list price is as follows: 8 MB/$475.00, 16 MB/$900.00
and 32 MB/$1,775.00.
