PC DOCS ANNOUNCES REVOLUTIONARY INTERNET DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT STRATEGY

Completely Secure, Integrated Document Management for the Enterprise - and
Beyond

TORONTO, Canada - February 12, 1996 - PC DOCS, Inc., a subsidiary of PC
DOCS Group International Inc. (NASDAQ: DOCSF, TSE: DXX) and the world's
leading enterprise document management company, announced a strategy which
will revolutionize the way business is conducted over the Internet. Key to
the three-phase strategy will be the ability of DOCS Open, the company's
award winning document management solution, to ensure secure
business-to-business document exchange over the Internet.

PC DOCS' strategy for the Internet will be delivered in three product
stages - codenamed Mercury, Venus and Jupiter.

Mercury is designed for widespread access, searching and publishing on the
Internet utilizing browsers like Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Explorer
and HTML and Acrobat publishing tools.

Venus will allow organizations using DOCS Open, to engage in secure
document commerce using the Internet as their Wide Area Network (WAN). It
is the only fully-featured document management system for the internet.
"Venus" will enable revolutionary secure, controlled business-to-business
document exchange and will result in significantly lower network operating
costs.

Jupiter embodies the next generation of DOCS Open utilizing JAVA technology
to deliver document organization and control and security to a wide
variety of platforms from traditional PCs to notebooks and Personal
Digital Assistants (PDA).

The Internet will be the low cost, wide area network of the future, said
Larry Bohn, Executive Vice President and General Manager of PC DOCS, Inc.
However, without document management capabilities like version control,
check-in and check-out, viewing and most important security, businesses
will only use the Internet for interpersonal messages and non-critical
documents. By architecting PC DOCS's already easy to use, technologically
superior products for the Net, customers will have an unprecedented
business advantage.

Mercury, which will be available in the second quarter of this year, is
designed for widespread access, searching and publishing of documents
including forms, datasheets and specifications both on the Internet and
corporate Intranets. This capability will provide easy, low cost access to
DOCS Open using browsers and Internet tools like Netscape Navigator and
Microsoft Explorer. Users will also have the ability to publish documents
on the Net in a DOCS Open Library using both HTML and Adobe Acrobat making
it simple to keep the information up to date and organized to ensure easy
access by everyone in an organization.

The most unique and revolutionary portion of the PC DOCS strategy is the
Venus product, scheduled for release in the second half of 1996.

`Venus' is where we leave our competitors in the dust, said Ann Palermo,
Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for PC DOCS, Inc. It will give
organizations the opportunity to use the Internet as the backbone for
sharing secured information with other organizations anywhere in the
world. Clearly, extending the enterprise by including customers and
suppliers generates the highest levels of return on software investments.
Because Venus will handle contracts, proposals and memos - unstructured
information - it's really document EDI for the masses.

Venus is designed for complete security on the Internet - extending
document management across corporate boundaries to any organization which
has standardized on the PC DOCS document management solution. Venus
provides significant cost savings compared to private WANs for corporate
Intranet applications. It will provide full application integration and
cross platform support including the DOCS Mobile capability, giving field
workers using laptops complete access to all company documents via the
Internet. Encryption and authentication, both key to ensuring security,
have been developed using trusted public key technology.

Jupiter is a next generation product which will enable document management
for the enterprise and beyond. Its enhancements include the development of
a JAVA client as well as JAVA applets. This will extend the reach of DOCS
Open's full document organization and control, and security to users of a
wide variety of current and future computing devices.
