Blueridge Ports Industrial-Strength Document Management Server to Windows
NT

FLINT HILL, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--February 12, 1996 --- Blueridge
Technologies, "The Internet Document Management Company," announced that
the award-winning OPTIX Document Management System now supports servers
based on Windows NT, the popular multi-user operating system from
Microsoft.

The NT version of OPTIX complements the line-up of high-performance UNIX
servers already supported by OPTIX, including Sun SPARC, RS/6000 from IBM,
and DEC Alpha.

The addition of the NT server platform makes OPTIX one of the most scalable
solutions in the document management industry. With a full line of NT and
UNIX servers, OPTIX can now provide a cost-effective solution for
everything from a workgroup system, running NT on an entry-level
Pentium-based server, to an enterprise-wide application running on
top-of-the-line UNIX servers with symmetric multiple processors (SMP) and
mainframe performance.

By porting to NT, Blueridge continues it's policy of supporting
off-the-shelf, industry-standard platforms, so that our clients can
implement document management systems on technology that they already own
and support.

Founded in 1988, Blueridge Technologies is one of the industry's oldest and
most respected providers of electronic document management systems (EDMS).
Long the leading supplier of industrial-strength document imaging and
workflow systems for Apple Macintosh computers, in 1994 OPTIX became the
first electronic document management system to offer workflow, document
imaging, document control, COLD (Computer Output to Laser Disk), and
natural language text retrieval for both Windows and Macintosh
workstations. Via the new OptixWEB interface, OPTIX also supports popular
Web browsers, including Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer from
Microsoft, Mosaic, as well as all the client platforms these products
support, including Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX workstations.

OPTIX for NT will be available in the third quarter of 1996. OPTIX NT
systems begin at $60,000 and include server software, client software for
both Macintosh and Windows, installation, training, and support. For more
