InterAct '96 Signs VDOnet as Partner in First On-line Conference for
Distributed Computing

Real-time Internet Video Technology Developer Joins Growing Roster of
Vendors for the World's First Virtual Tradeshow Event, April 23-25

MARLBOROUGH, MA -- InterAct '96, the world's first virtual conference,
today signed VDOnet as a conference partner. VDOnet joins other innovative
technology leaders such as Cascade Communications, Digital Equipment
Corporation, and Isis Distributed Systems, Inc. at this unique event, the
world's first conference to be staged exclusively on the World Wide Web.
InterAct'96 will open its virtual doors on April 23-25.

InterAct'96 will use VDOnet's VDOLive technology to transmit full motion
video and audio presentations over the World Wide Web. Keynote addresses
can be viewed in real time at up to 15 frames per second with a 28.8 kbps
modem. Higher bandwidth connections afford even higher quality video. Many
other World Wide Web sites have employed this "desktop broadcasting"
technology from VDOnet, including CBS News, Paramount, and Grolier.
Conference without boundaries

InterAct '96, a joint project of Stratus Computer, Inc. (NYSE:SRA) and
InfoWorld, will take place April 23-25, 1996, and can be attended by
anyone with Internet access. The conference will provide exciting
interactive access to a wide variety of activities including: on-line
presentations, virtual demonstrations, meetings with vendor organizations,
virtual press conferences and daily personal contact with industry
leaders, presenters, and other attendees. All presentations will be
available at any time to conference attendees in both video, audio and
text formats.

"VDOnet is a valued addition to Interact96. The event will showcase VDOnet
technology, providing users with access to real-time audio and video
presentations. VDOnet joins other industry leaders in reshaping the future
of distributed computing," said Francois Gossieaux, director of
InterAct'96. "Interact96 promises to deliver to every attendee a entirely
new trade show experience and this begins with partners like VDOnet."

Real Video for the Internet

VDOLive technology was launched in beta form in late October 1995. It
conquers the technical challenges presented by the low bandwidth and
complex communications environment of the Internet. VDOLive motion video
can run in real time even over a fast modem connection. This compares with
the next closest alternative, running at one frame every five seconds.
Other existing Internet video technologies require as much as 30 minutes
to download a one-minute file of video with the best modem connection.

"Interact96 represents a major opportunity for VDOnet to participate in a
innovative event that redefines distributed computing," said Asaf Mohr,
president and CEO of VDOnet. "Real-time video is essential for the success
of Interact96 and we're excited to provide this enabling technology to
such a unique environment."

Interact'96, the world's first virtual conference, will welcome thousands
of attendees and companies on-line on April 23. Partners, vendors,
attendees, press, and analysts can access additional information at:
