NEW PALMTOP ADAPTOR ENABLES USE OF HIGH-POWER DEVICES, TYPE III PCMCIA
CARDS

Greystone Model PA 70 Adapts Palmtops, Notebooks, Laptop Computers For Use
With External Disk Drives; Features Switch-Selectable AC Power

Los Gatos, CA -- February 5, 1996 -- Greystone Peripherals, Inc., the
leading supplier of PCMCIA reader/writers and affordable PC Card
accessories, today introduced a new low-cost, external Model PA-70 PalmTop
Adaptor for palmtop, notebook and laptop computers.

The multi-purpose Model PA-70 enables portable computers to use devices
which require more power --- such as disk drives --- and also converts
PCMCIA-compliant Type I and Type II card slots to support Type III+
devices. A 110V AC power adaptor providing output power of one amp at five
volts DC is also available. Internal or external power to the PCMCIA
device is switch selectable.

'Greystone's new Model PA-70 provides an inexpensive solution to three
important issues faced by portable computer users -- mass storage, data
backup, and compatibility with new products,' said John Usher, president
of Greystone Peripherals. 'For example, a Hewlett-Packard LX-100 or LX-200
laptop plugged into the PalmTop Adaptor can use any capacity PCMCIA disk
drive and all Type III+ PC Cards.'

In addition to end users, the Model PA-70 PalmTop adaptor will also appeal
to OEMs who want to add capability and features to their portable
computers. Greystone's Model PA-70 is immediately available at a suggested
list price of $99, with OEM volume quantities available as low as $69.50.
The PalmTop Adaptor is warranted for 90 days.

Greystone Peripherals designs, manufactures and markets two proprietary
product lines: the CardDock family of reader/writers and accessories for
the PCMCIA market; and the DataFast high-performance hard disk drive
software duplication systems targeted to the software manufacturing
market.

The company recently announced a joint effort with Conner Peripherals, San
Jose, CA, that allows Conner's line of 2.5-inch disk drives to be utilized
in the PCMCIA market using Greystone's new DiskDock PCMCIA external hard
drive adaptor.

Greystone Peripherals, Inc., founded in 1992 by industry veterans John
Usher and George Robinson, is located at 130 Knowles Drive, Los Gatos, CA
95030; 408-866-4739, fax 408-866-8328
