Galacticomm, Inc. Introduces new Entertainment Collection for Worldgroup

CLIENT/SERVER APPLICATION WORKS WITH WORLDGROUP PLUG-IN FOR NETSCAPE

San Jose, CA - February 20, 1996 - Galacticomm, Inc. introduces
Entertainment Collection, a new client/server application for its
Worldgroup online software. Users can launch Entertainment Collection
directly from a Web site using their Netscape Navigator 2.0 browsers.
Entertainment Collection, now in final beta testing, lets up to 256
simultaneous users "chat" with each other over the Web or other networks -
using images, sounds and actions to enhance their chat sessions.

Galacticomm President and CEO Scott Brinker says, "This takes online
interaction between consumers to a level that goes way beyond America
Online or Microsoft Network. With multimedia sounds and images associated
with users and their actions, the suspension of disbelief provides a first
step towards real-world virtual reality entertainment. This is cyberspace
like you've never seen or heard it before."

System Operators (Sysops) can configure hundreds of action commands that
allow people to express themselves with smiles, nods, shrugs, waves, hugs
and more. Sound clips associated with each action let users hear the
chuckles, sighs and music that can accompany these actions. For visual
impact, users can supply photos of themselves so that other users can see
to whom they're talking. Users can chat with each other in any one of
thousands of virtual rooms. Each room can have its own topic, moderator,
action list and airtight security. Users can invite people into their
private room, or sneak away into a one-on-one chat mode. A user list gives
an at-a-glance update of who else is in the room and is updated in real
time as users enter and leave.

The action-word toolbar lets users select their favorite actions by
clicking an icon. For example, if Chris selected "laugh," the text "Chris
is laughing" would appear on the screen accompanied by the sound of
laughter. Users can choose colors with which to highlight messages from
themselves or from others. With the click of a button, users can launch a
shared drawing board. In real time they can sketch on each other's screens
using a wide selection of drawing tools and colors. Each drawing can be
saved to disk for future reference. Entertainment Collection for
Worldgroup was developed in conjunction with High Velocity Software of
Phoenix, AZ, a Galacticomm Independent Software Vendor.
