GANDALF AND INTELLICOM TO OFFER BEST-OF-BREED ACCESS SOLUTIONS FOR
TELEWORKERS

"HOME RUN" DESIGNED TO EFFECTIVELY LAUNCH TELEWORKING PROGRAMS BOTH EASILY
AND AFFORDABLY

NEPEAN, ONT. -- JANUARY 29, 1996 -- Gandalf Technologies Inc., a leading
supplier of remote access networking products and a pioneer in ISDN
technology, and IntelliCom Solutions, Inc., a national reseller of Gandalf
equipment and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intelligent Electronics, Inc.,
today launched a unique teleworking program that offers corporate
customers one-stop shopping for the products and services necessary to get
their teleworking programs up and running quickly. The program, called
Home Run, was announced today at the ComNet `96 trade show in Washington,
DC.

Subscribers to the Home Run Program are provided with both products and
services designed to make it easy and affordable to launch teleworking
programs. On the product side, Home Run provides customers with Gandalf's
XpressConnectTM 5242i edge router or teleworker bridge and XpressStackTM
BRI or PRI. On the service/support side, the program provides IntelliCom's
ISDN line provisioning and support, pre and post-sales technical support
and leasing options.

"Home Run is an ideal solution for companies who want to implement
effective and affordable telecommuting programs," said Patrice Johnson,
chief operating officer of IntelliCom Solutions, Inc. "With Gandalf's
best-of-breed products -- and IntelliCom's national network of systems
integrators, ISDN provisioning services, marketing, and financing options
-- customers have access to the most complete teleworking solution
available in the market today."

The Home Run program was formed in response to the increasing demand for
teleworking solutions in today's business environment. Companies implement
teleworking solutions to offer their growing number of work-at-home and
field force employees transparent, office-like access to the network from
remote locations.

"Companies are now recognizing that teleworking programs are becoming an
essential requirement for effective operations in today's business
environment," said Ken Stess, Gandalf's vice president of U.S. sales and
marketing. "This joint effort with IntelliCom -- the `Home Run Program' --
is specifically designed to help these companies implement an effective
teleworker effort. The program targets many of the key issues companies
face when implementing these solutions, providing true `one-stop shopping'
for their teleworking needs."

IntelliCom Solutions, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Intelligent
Electronics (NASDAQ/NMS: INEL), is dedicated to providing integrators with
a competitive advantage in the computer and communications markets.
Launched in January 1995, IntelliCom pioneered the nationwide deployment
of ISDN services to support the sales of state-of-the-art computer and
telephony solutions. The company specializes in providing integrated ISDN
and frame relay technology applications for Internet access, LAN-to-LAN
interconnection, videoconferencing and remote LAN access. IntelliCom's
parent company, Intelligent Electronics, Inc. (INEL), is a leader in
delivering access to tomorrow's technology today.

Gandalf's vision is to provide people with access to information through
