CHEYENNE AND INTEL TO INTEGRATE BACKUP AND MANAGEMENT PRODUCTS

Integration, Marketing Efforts To Further Interoperability of ARCserve and
LANDesk Products

LAKE SUCCESS, NY (February 12, 1996) -- Cheyenne Software, Inc. and Intel
Corporation today announced integration and marketing efforts to increase
the interoperability of Cheyenne's ARCserve backup product and Intel's
LANDesk management products for both NetWare and Windows NT.

As a result, ARCserve users will have ready access to Intel's comprehensive
management services for clients and servers, and users of the LANDesk
products will have access to Cheyenne's powerful, server-hosted backup
software.

In addition to increasing the products' technical integration, Cheyenne and
Intel will each ship trial versions of the other's product. ARCserve
CD-ROMs will contain either a 5 node license of LANDesk Management Suite
or a trial version of LANDesk Workgroup Manager. In addition, those
LANDesk products will ship with a trial version of ARCserve.

In an extension of their previous relationship, Cheyenne and Intel plan to
educate their customers about the complementary benefits of Cheyenne's
ARCserve product and Intel's StorageExpress II system. ARCserve is
server-hosted software for local management of backup; Intel's
StorageExpress II system is a standalone hardware-software solution for
centralized, multi-server backup. Intel uses portions of ARCserve software
within its StorageExpress II system.

"Network management is important to increase uptime and control costs in
workgroups, and Intel's LANDesk products are recognized leaders in desktop
and server management," said Jim McNiel, executive vice president of
Cheyenne Software. "By giving ARCserve customers better access to LANDesk
core services through ARCserve products, we will significantly increase
the effectiveness of their workgroups. We will also increase their access
to the right backup solution by describing the complementary benefits of
the StorageExpress II System and ARCserve."

"As a leading solution in server-hosted backup, ARCserve will be an
effective backup engine for Intel management," said Ed Ekstrom, general
manager of Intel's Network Products Division. "By integrating it with our
LANDesk products, we'll make it easier for users to manage ARCserve backup
as part of an effective workgroup management strategy."

In the first phase of increased integration between the companies'
products, available in the second quarter, ARCserve will be visible and
launchable from the LANDesk Control Panel. Further

integration planned for later in the year will increase the degree to which
ARCserve can be managed directly by the LANDesk Management Group of
products. The parties anticipate signing the final definitive agreement
shortly.
