CASAHL'S LAUNCHES REPLIC-ACTION 3.0 LOTUS NOTES TO DATABASE INTEGRATION
SYSTEM

PARALLEL DATABASE REPLICATION, REAL-TIME CONNECTIVITY, AND REMOTE SERVER
ADMINISTRATION

Orlando, FLA, January 22, 1996- - Casahl Technology, a leading provider of
software for integrating Lotus Notes with relational database and legacy
systems, today announced the availability of Replic-Action 3.0.
Replic-Action 3.0 offers parallel database replication, a four-fold
increase in performance, fine-tuned control of two-way incremental
replication, real-time connectivity to DBMSs, greater flexibility in
setting up workflow triggers and major server enhancements.

Replic-Action 3.0 is a client/server based replication and migration tool,
which accesses, transforms, migrates and synchronizes data between Lotus
Notes and multiple external databases, both relational and legacy.
Replic-Action applications can link and control interactions between
multiple databases, providing workflow triggers, notifications and
automated actions.

"In today's global enterprise the end-user needs to have a tight
integration with the corporate knowledge base," said Harry Wong, President
and CEO of Casahl Technology, Inc. "With Replic-Action 3.0 we are
delivering on our promise to provide technical superiority, maximum
performance and the greatest flexibility in bringing corporate data into
and out of groupware in both connected and disconnected environments. The
result is that corporations maximize their Notes investment by providing
knowledge workers with information when and where they need it, as well as
the ability to keep the work flowing to improve overall productivity."

"We're deploying Notes aggressively across AMD, and Replic-Action 3.0's
replication, agents, and real-time capability with its multiprocessing
architecture gives us the tremendous potential to flexibly tie Notes to
multiple DBMSs with performance" said Doug Ritchie, vice president of
Information Integration and Access at Advanced Micro Devices.

Replic-Action 3.0 features extensive replication technology enhancements.
The new product extends the replication capabilities between dissimilar
Notes databases and supports all Notes native data types, such as rich
text, multi-value lists, reader names, author names and response
hierarchy. Replic-Action 3.0 also features finer control of conflict
resolution so that when a conflict occurs, users have the options of
automatic resolution and e-mail notification.

Replic-Action 3.0 includes parallel database replication, which enables
searches of multiple database sources in parallel through asynchronous
operations and a multi-source distributed query optimizer. A single SQL
query can reference, in parallel, multiple data sources and populate a
Notes database at speeds equivalent to those achieved with localized data
tables. In addition, the new version supports, but no longer requires,
time stamping so that data can be replicated and synchronized without a
timestamp field. Through these improvements, Replic-Action 3.0 offers a
400% performance increase over the previous version of the product.

In addition, Replic-Action 3.0 continues to exploit Notes workflow
capabilities. The new product extends the creation of workflow
applications based on external data sources. For example, Replic-Action
workflow triggers can invoke stored procedures from an external DBMS and
export the output to any external DBMS, including Notes. Replic-Action
also supports dynamic SQL to create sophisticated workflow applications
based on external databases.

Replic-Action 3.0's Server is a multi-tasking native application on both NT
and OS/2. It supports load balancing among a collection of Replic-Action
servers and prioritization of tasks within a server.

Replic-Action 3.0 also provides many extensions to configuration options
and logging of events and statistics. Other new features include user
control of polling of external databases, sequencing of jobs for complex
applications, executing requests from command lines, remote server
administration and more event notification options. Replic-Action 3.0 also
enables real-time look-up and update capabilities from any Notes client
machine to multiple DBMSs. The product's multiprocessing architecture
provides scalability to accommodate a large number of real-time
connections for Notes users without the need to store data in Notes.
Replic-Actions real-time capability is bundled into the base product,
along with over 35 database drivers, with no extra cost.

PRICING, PLATFORMS AND AVAILABILITY

Replic-Action 3.0 Servers are currently available in development and
production versions running on Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT and
OS/2. The product is priced at $1,500 for the Development Server and
$10,000 for the Production Server. Replic-Action supports over 45
databases including ALLBASE/SQL, AS/400, Btrieve, DB2 (with MDI Gateway),
FoxBASE, Informix, INGRES, InterBase, Oracle, Paradox, PROGRESS, MS SQL,
Sybase SQL Server, and Teradata.
