CAPCOM PROMOTES LATEST BLOCKBUSTER WITH BUGS

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- February 12, 1996 -- Capcom Entertainment kicks off
the launch of Street Fighter Alpha with a television commercial that
begins airing today and will run over the coming months. The commercial
will air in over 80 markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago,
Philadelphia and San Francisco, reaching 70% of the United States. The
media schedule includes hit shows like Star Trek: The Next Generation,
Simpsons, X-files and Home Improvement.

The commercial titled "Roaches Below", shows a young guy playing Street
Fighter Alpha in his home. He is so caught up in the gameplay, that he
reacts as if he were actually taking punches and throwing combo moves just
like the characters in the game. As the voice over describes the action
from "above", the camera sweeps through the floorboards. As the voice over
states, "Just about everyone's getting into Street Fighter Alpha" two
cockroaches begin battling it out just like the Street Fighter characters.

Two directors worked on the commercial: Richard Kizue-Blair who is noted
for his work on Nintendo, Honda, and Nike commercials. Getting the
cockroaches to act as Street Fighters involved the special effects talent
of director Boyd Shermis, known for his work on the movies Batman and
Speed, as well as commercials for Coke and M&Ms. The creative was
developed by Katsin/Loeb, Capcom's advertising agency, with Jef Loeb as
the copywriter and Carlton Taylor as art director.

Street Fighter Alpha is the latest installment in Capcom's world-famous
combat series. The game features a cast of characters from the collective
Street Fighter Universe who have never before appeared together in a
single game and introduces three new characters. Now available for the
Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn, Street Fighter Alpha marks Capcom's
entry into the 32-bit market.
