CAPCOM ENTERS 32-BIT MARKET WITH THE RELEASE OF STREET FIGHTER ALPHA

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- February 7, 1996-Capcom, the company that created the
fighting game phenomenon, today marked their entry into the 32-bit market
with the release of Street Fighter Alpha. This latest installment in
Capcom's world-famous combat series brings the hit arcade title home for
the Sony PlayStation and Sega Saturn. Street Fighter Alpha capitalizes on
the continued intrigue of the World Warrior Tournament, its many
competitors, and the compelling eight year history that has touched the
lives of approximately 25 million enthusiasts worldwide. Street Fighter
Alpha will sell at a suggested retail price of $66.95. Capcom's Official
Street Fighter Alpha Strategy Guide, published by Dimension Publishing,
will be available next week at $12.95.

In Street Fighter Alpha, Capcom developed a cast of characters from the
collective Street Fighter Universe who have never before appeared together
in a single game. Street Fighter Alpha resurrects classic, but not
forgotten favorites from the original Street Fighter arcade game,
including the hard headed English brawler, Birdie, and Adon, who
specialize in Muy Thai fighting. Street Fighter Alpha also brings back
Haggar and Sodom from Capcom's blockbuster game line, Final Fight, who
join the battle. Three new characters step up the challenge. They include:
Charlie, a friend to Guile; Rose, a young girl who can tap the powers of
her soul to face any competitor she may encounter; and Dan, a new master
of Karate. Players will also meet up with traditional favorites Ken, Ryu,
Chun Li, Bison, and even Akuma.

"It seems only fitting that Capcom should enter the 32-bit market with
Street Fighter Alpha," states Greg Ballard, president of Capcom
Entertainment. "Capcom is synonymous with fighting games and Street
Fighter Alpha brings a new dimension to Capcom's dynamic game series. Fans
of the arcade version are sure to agree with the video gaming press in
that this is a perfect translation."
