Artisoft, Inc. Outlines Strategic Direction

TUCSON, AZ, February 13, 1996 -- Artisoft, Inc. (NASDAQ: ASFT) today
outlined its intent to broaden the company's technology and product
portfolio; to leverage its diverse, global distribution channels; and to
establish share leadership in targeted growth markets. The company has
entered two new technology areas, remote communications and computer
telephony, in addition to networking.

William C. Keiper, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said "Our
networking positioning is strong, particularly in the small business
arena, and the remote communications and computer telephony markets are
growing at rapid rates. Each of these technologies represents a key
element of the resource convergence at the desktop. The synergies among
networking, remote communications and computer telephony enable the
company to provide product offerings which can leverage the investment in
each of the individual technology areas. There are also key opportunities
to leverage existing markets and channels and to enter new ones, to
efficiently deliver an expanded number of product lines and products."

Keiper added, "The late 1995 acquisitions of Synergy Solutions, Inc., and
Triton Technologies, Inc., provide us with a market leading position in
remote control, and the ability to deliver remote control and phone line
sharing solutions to a broad set of markets. Triton Technologies is the
leader in providing PC OEM remote control solutions today, with a better
than 55% unit share of the market in 1995, according to a preliminary IDC
report. We soon will launch a new brand to clearly differentiate these
remote communication product offerings from the LANtastic family of
networking products."

"We have taken another step in implementing our strategy with the
acquisition of Stylus Innovation, Inc. According to Dataquest, Stylus was
second only to AT&T in market share for interactive voice response systems
in 1994. Stylus has an excellent foundation of software products and
development tools to address many of the mainstream voice application
areas. Coupled with our networking expertise, this acquisition provides a
platform for Artisoft in the rapidly growing area of open computer
telephony solutions," Keiper stated.

"Artisoft and Stylus joining forces represents further evidence of the
adoption of computer telephony into the mainstream computer market. Stylus
software tools and applications combined with Artisoft's technology,
installed base, channels of distribution and vision of what is required is
a formidable combination," noted Howard Bubb, President and Chief
Executive Officer of Dialogic Corporation, the world's leading provider of
open hardware and software components for computer telephony.

Artisoft leads the industry in providing easy-to-use, affordable
networking, remote communications and computer telephony solutions for
businesses. Chosen by over 4 million users worldwide to connect and share
computer resources, Artisoft solutions include the award-winning LANtastic
family of networking products, Modem Assist Plus modem and phone line
sharing products, and CoSession remote access software. The company
maintains nine offices outside the United States, and distributes its
products in more than 100 countries.
