Interactive Annabooks Catalog Available in Hard Copy, Disk and HomePage

San Diego, CA. February 1, 1996. Annabooks announces the availability of a
new catalog. The catalog provides information on PC-oriented hardware and
software engineering books published by Annabooks: DOS and Windows
operating systems and development tools that are licensed by AnnaSoft
(Annabooks' new software division) for embedded PC applications: and PC
hardware and software seminars and conferences that are sponsored by
Annabooks for improving engineering productivity. 

The new catalog is available free of charge in a hard copy format and as an
interactive Windows program published on a 3.5" diskette. The catalog can
also be accessed via Annabooks' new HomePage at http://www.annabooks.com.


The books portion of the catalog is divided into three sections: System
Architecture, Systems Programming, and Operating System Programming.
Systems Architecture topics include PCI Hardware and Software, PCMCIA,
Power Management, and Digital Video. System Programming topics include
MS-DOS, Windows 95, Windows Device Drivers, and System BIOS. 

The software portion of the catalog offers information on embedded PC
operating systems, BIOS, and development software that is licensed by
AnnaSoft. Microsoft products include MS-DOS versions 3.3 through 6.22,
ROMable versions of MS-DOS versions 3.3 through 6.22, Windows, Windows for
Workgroups, Windows NT, Windows 95, and a ROM-able version of Windows 3.1.
Other software products licensed by AnnaSoft include: 

* AnnaBios, a low-cost, customizeable, PC-Compatible BIOS product
  offered with C source code. 
* PromKit, a tool that makes it easy to ROM DOS boot disks. 
* RT Kernel, a powerful, real-time, multitasking operating system
  that runs under DOS, also offered with C source code. 
* DOS Buttons, a toolkit for building man-machine interfaces for
  DOS applications. 
* TrueFFS, a DOS-compatible flash file software from M-Systems that
  enables flash memory to emulate a DOS hard disk. 

The Seminar and Conference portion of the catalog provides information on
intensive one-, two- and three-day classes conducted by Annabooks
University. The classes cover PC-related hardware and software topics such
as Plug & Play Technology, Embedded PC Software Design, PCI Design, PC
Design for Embedded Applications, and Using PC Card Technology
Effectively. 

The catalog also includes information on the 1996 PCI Spring Developer's
Conference. Cosponsored by Annabooks and PC2 Consulting, the conference
will be held in San Jose at the Red Lion Hotel April 29 through May 3,
1996.
