WEBMAIL NOW AVAILABLE

USE YOUR WEB BROWSER FOR REMOTE E-MAIL ACCESS VIA THE WORLD WIDE WEB

(Owings Mills, MD) January 25, 1996 -- Now available, WebMail provides
users with remote access to the corporate e-mail system (Microsoft Mail,
cc:Mail, ExpressIT! and others) via the World Wide Web. WebMail simplifies
remote access to e-mail by eliminating the need to run remote e-mail
client software and maintain multiple mailboxes for remote users. Using a
familiar Web browser (Netscape, Mosaic, etc.), users can enter the URL of
the WebMail server and work with their e-mail. It's platform independent,
so any machine with access to the Internet can become a part of the LAN
e-mail system.

"WebMail is an ideal remote access solution for our Microsoft Mail users,"
says Kenji Ogura, Systems Programmer at Minnesota Power. "WebMail is easy,
fast and flexible -- and it allows me to create a Microsoft Mail mailbox
for my UNIX users." Brett Warthen, CEO of Infinite Technologies, says,
"We're pleased to provide a non-proprietary solution to remote e-mail
access that takes advantage of the World Wide Web. Throughout the
product's development and testing, customers have confirmed their need for
remote access via the Web."

Best of Show Award Winner

WebMail received a Best of Show award at NetWorld+Interop in Atlanta in the
Internet Products and Services category. The judges recognized WebMail for
being the first product to provide a non-proprietary, remote e-mail access
solution via the World Wide Web.

Supports a Variety of E-Mail Packages

WebMail release 1.0 supports a variety of e-mail packages for reading new
mail. These include BeyondMail, cc:Mail, Da Vinci eMAIL, ExpressIT!, MAPI,
Microsoft Mail, and Notework. Support for additional e-mail functions,
including working with previously read messages and message folders,
varies by product. In addition, WebMail supports the IMAP and POP3
protocols. Support for such a variety of applications and protocols is
accomplished via the e-mail independent database access API that is a key
part of the system's architecture.

Simplifies Remote E-Mail Access and Reduces Costs

Users often check e-mail messages when they're away from the office. With
WebMail, you can check messages from any location -- domestic or
international. All you need is a computer, a browser, and access to the
World Wide Web.

WebMail also reduces remote e-mail access costs. Remote offices and
customer sites with Internet access can be a part of your LAN e-mail
system. Also, the same WebMail server can service multiple platforms such
as Macintosh, Windows, Windows NT, OS/2, etc.

"WebMail is not a gateway that is dependent upon another company's World
Wide Web server. We've designed WebMail as a standalone e-mail and Web
server, so that end users aren't required to purchase, install, and
maintain multiple systems," says John Madill, president of Infinite
Technologies.
