See It? SnagIt!
TechSmith Releases SnagIt/32 for Microsoft Windows 95 and NT

EAST LANSING, MI, JANUARY 8, 1996 -- TechSmith's SnagIt, "the print utility
that Microsoft Windows forgot,"* is now available for Windows 95 and
Windows NT. SnagIt/32 provides selective capture of Windows screen
regions. The captured image can be directed to a Windows supported print
device, saved to a file or sent as an e-mail attachment. Simply pressing a
"hotkey" combination starts the capture process. While many options are
available, SnagIt/32 needs only a brief installation before use.

"SnagIt is one of the most useful, versatile little utilities I've ever
found," said Ron Braithwaite of HealthDesk Corporation. Braithwaite uses
SnagIt/32 to print "display-only" windows, such as the Microsoft Access
Relationships chart, and to develop software specifications and help
files. SnagIt/32 excels wherever intelligent screen capture is needed,
from training manual development to help desk operations. Others use
SnagIt to extend commercial and custom applications with limited native
screen print capabilities.

"Many organizations are in the early stages of the transition from Windows
3.x to Windows 95 or NT," observes William Hamilton, TechSmith founder and
president. "We've responded with the SnagIt Twin Pack. It includes a
16-bit version tailored for Windows 3.x as well as a true 32-bit version
for Windows 95 and NT. The setup program automatically detects the
workstation's operating environment and loads the appropriate version. The
purchaser is licensed to run either version and to switch between them
without further payment to TechSmith. Purchasing the Twin Pack provides
the benefits of running SnagIt today without penalizing customers
selecting Windows 95 or NT in the future."

SnagIt/32 offers a variety of optional tuning parameters for advanced
screen capture needs. Automatic and manual image scaling, adjustments to
color balance and monochrome conversion parameters help create the best
possible graphic for the selected print device. SnagIt/32 saves captured
images in a variety of popular graphic file formats. Consecutive captures
can be stored in automatically named files. SnagIt/32's DDE (Dynamic Data
Exchange) support enables DDE clients, such as Microsoft Word for Windows,
to configure options and invoke captures. Developers using tools such as
C++, Microsoft Visual Basic or Access can also control SnagIt/32 using DDE
messages. Screen images can be captured and immediately e-mailed to help
desks using SnagIt/32's MAPI (Messaging Application Program Interface)
support and any MAPI enabled mail client.

Download a fully functional evaluation copy of SnagIt/32 (or the 16-bit
version) from TechSmith's World Wide Web site, http://www.TechSmith.com,
or ftp server, ftp.TechSmith.com. SnagIt is also available from the WUGNET
forum on CompuServe and many other locations world-wide.

The single-user copy of SnagIt/32 is priced at $39.95. Multi- user, OEM,
corporate and site licensing options are also available. For additional
