NEXGEN WINS ORDER FROM DUTCH PC COMPANY WITH LARGEST PC SUPERSTORE CHAIN

Dunnet Offers New Nx586-based PC Line

MILPITAS California, January 8, 1996--NexGen, Inc. (Nasdaq: NXGN) today
announced that Dunnet, the second largest Dutch PC company, is offering a
new product line based on the Nx586 processor family. The Nx586 processor
is the leading fifth-generation Pentium processor alternative currently in
production. 

Dunnet has the largest PC Superstore chain in Holland, including its main
site at Rotterdam, as well as having a strong brand image. The company has
placed orders with NexGen for a range of products from the Nx586 product
line, including the new Nx586-P120 processor which it will feature in a
new high-end PC configuration. 

"We are enthusiastic about NexGen-based products being featured in the
largest PC Superstore chain in the Netherlands," stated Atiq Raza,
President and Chief Executive Officer of NexGen. Mr. Raza added, 'This OEM
agreement will greatly improve our market position in this important
region." 

Dunnet has already started producing computer systems based on the NexGen
Nx586 processor technology. According to Hans Bergman, General Manager,
Dunnet expects that 35% of its production next year will be based on
NexGen Nx586 processors. 

"The market is looking for better performance, a competitive price and a
three year warranty," he says, "and our new Nx586-based line will enable
us to offer these." 

Dunnet will produce a range of NexGen based machines, starting with the
following configurations: 

* NexGen N586 P90 with 8MB, 850MB hard disk, PCI video and the
  Windows 95 operating system pre-loaded.
* NexGen N586 P110 with 8MB, 850MB hard disk, PCI video and the
  Windows 95 operating system pre-loaded.
* NexGen Nx586 P120 with 8MB, 1.6GB hard disk, PCI video and the
  Windows 95 operating system pre-loaded.
* NexGen Nx586 P120 with 16MB memory, 2GB SCSI II Wide hard disk
  with Adaptec AHA2940W controller, Plextor 6 speed SCSI CD ROM
  player, Diamond Stealth 64 2MB VRAM PCI video, Sound Blaster AWE 32
  sound card with stereo speakers and the Windows 95 operating system
  pre-loaded.

All prices are yet to be announced. Early in 1996, the NexGen Nx586 P133
processor is expected to be added to this line of computer systems.
