Internet phenomenon and its implications for the computer industry,
business and the consumer. He will discuss how the Internet fits within

CHALLENGES OF A NETWORK-CENTRIC WORLD
Tuesday, April 2nd 12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.

ROBERT J. FRANKENBERG, chairman and CEO of Novell, Inc., will discuss the
challenges of a network-centric world. He will illustrate how Novell is
participating in the creation of a smart global network...a network that
includes both public (the Internet) and private networks and enables
people to connect to each other and the information they need, giving them
the ability to act on that information anytime and from anyplace.

THE NEW AGE OF NETWORKS: JUST TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT
Wednesday, April 3rd 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

JOHN W. GERDELMAN, president of network MCI Services, MCI Communications

and individually focused.

TECHNOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL RISKS IN THE INFRASTRUCTURE
Wednesday, April 3rd 12:15 p.m. - 1:15 p.m.

DR. PETER G. NEUMANN, principal scientist, Computer Science Laboratory, SRI
International tackles vital Internet issues such as what are the risks
involved in the Internet and what can be done about them? What are
realistic expectations for the future? What is likely to happen with
digital commerce? Is your privacy being eaten away? What is really
happening in the crypto world? These and other questions will be
considered with illustrative cases noted.

THE NETWORKED DESKTOP: THE FUTURE OF INFORMATION ACCESS
Thursday, April 4th 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

MAKS WULKAN, executive vice president of Eicon Technology, will discuss the
impact of emerging trends in connecting remote LANs and individual users
to networked information resources, and the challenge to present solutions
for new network access. He will address how ubiquitous datatone shipping
on PCs and servers can help users manage change and lower overall cost of
ownership of their networks.

In addition to the keynotes, attendees will have an opportunity to explore
the latest technological developments with high-quality conferences,
tutorials and workshops, including the newest offering, the
CTI/Telecommunications Symposium. This is a special one-day intensive
symposium for the general conference covering the merger of the

information processing capabilities of computing devices. There is also
the Executive Conference, which will provide executive-level expert
knowledge on "Integrating the Internet into Your Enterprise."

NetWorld+Interop attendees can take advantage of the expertise offered
through five main conference themes. Network Connectivity focuses on the
technologies used for building networks; ATM & Switched Networks addresses
ATM as well as other technologies surrounding switching hubs; Enterprise
Applications addresses services and applications which turn multiplatform
internetworks into transparent distributed systems; Practical Internets
includes educational Internet offerings with regard to security,
government on-line and telcos; and The Third Annual Engineer Conference
(now held in conjunction with the NetWorld+Interop General Conference)
focuses on five topic areas of interest in computer- communications
including traffic/congestion management, cell-based routing, distributed
applications management, video over enterprise networks, and high-speed
packet filtering and firewalling.

NetWorld+Interop is a comprehensive networking event that offers a
combination of conferences, tutorials, workshops, exhibits and interactive
technology demonstrations. Launched in Las Vegas in 1994, NetWorld+Interop
also produces events in London, Sydney, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Atlanta, Paris
and, in 1997, Singapore. Recognized as The Networking Summit, these events
address the business, engineering and product application issues of the
Internet and the networking industry, and are the industry's premier
events where attendees can experience new and emerging networking
technologies before making critical purchasing decisions. Attendees can
research the latest in exhibitor product information, technology
conference offerings and show events, as well as year-round
