Free Wildcat! Navigator Allows Highly Anticipated Look At Wildcat! 5 Online
Communities

Powerful Graphical Interface Can Be Downloaded From Mustang Web Site
Starting Today.

Bakersfield, California, January 24, 1996: The much awaited first-look at
the powerful new Wildcat! 5 online system is now available with the wide
area beta release of the Wildcat! Navigator, available free for download
from Mustang Online, Mustang Software's (Nasdaq: MSTG) Wildcat! 5 online
site. The freely distributed "point and click" communications suite of
Windows-based programs (3.1/95/NT) gives the millions of modem and
Internet users throughout the world the ability to log on to the
revolutionary upcoming Wildcat! 5 BBS system and experience its fully
interactive, multimedia world.

Wildcat! 5 was designed to allow individuals, groups and business to build
powerful, online communities, seen as the next step of Internet evolution.
"Whether it's an individual who wants an Internet presence, a club wanting
to bring members online, a high school bringing students an online
resource, or businesses that want to start the next America Online r,
they'll need messaging, e-mail and interactive chat to fully serve their
needs," stated Jim Harrer, President and CEO of Mustang Software.
"Wildcat! 5 was created to offer the full two-way communication features
online communities require - a feature Web sites lack."

The Wildcat! Navigator was developed to distribute to potential users as an
easy and graphic way for people to visit Wildcat! 5 communities. Utilizing
HTML graphics (the language of the Internet), the Wildcat! Navigator was
created from the ground up and offers users access to email, chat,
messaging, file library, and a powerful Web browser feature when used with
the Wildcat! 5 BBS system designed to run under Windows NT and Windows 95.
The Wildcat! Navigator also features an auto-update function that
automatically checks the user's version upon logon and quickly downloads
the latest software modifications as they are developed.

"While users can connect to Wildcat! 5 systems using a modem and a computer
or terminal emulator, or by connecting through a LAN, the easiest way is
with Windows using the Wildcat! Navigator," stated Harrer. " We believe
our system will be the most versatile Internet communications platform on
the market when it is released, and the Wildcat! Navigator brings new and
experienced users the exceptional power of the Wildcat! 5 online
community, easily and graphically."

The Wildcat! Navigator offers connection through modems or TCP/IP networks,
and once connected, individual Navigator clients can access Wildcat! 5
areas to offer full e-mail services with file attachment capability using
individual and group address books; messaging through public conferences
and Usenet newsgroups; file library functions including search and helpful
upload/download wizards; real-time public and private chat with quick
channel selection, easy invite and capture file abilities; plus the
ability to access user-created biographies and quickly see who is online.
One of the most powerful features is a Browser that allows users connected
to Wildcat! 5 systems (with Wildcat!'s optional Internet Connectivity
Package) the ability to venture out and visit web sites throughout the
Internet.

This is the first time Mustang has released a product into a wide area beta
testing. "We know millions of end-users will ultimately log on to Wildcat!
5 systems throughout the world, and this period of Navigator shakedown
will allow us to optimize the graphical front end for the majority of
system hardware, memory, and software configurations", added Harrer. To
