INTERPLAY GEARS UP FOR FIRST TSR, INC. LICENSED TITLE, BLOOD & MAGIC

January 5, 1996 -- Irvine, California Interplay announced today the first
real time strategy game from the company's Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
(AD&D) line of games, called Blood & Magic. Developed by Tachyon Studios,
Inc., this game is set in the Forgotten Realms" world from TSR, Inc. The
PC version will be available in the second quarter of 1996 from Interplay
Productions, and will be a simultaneous release with the Macintosh"
version from MacPlay.

"It is very exciting to be working with TSR, Inc. and this strong license,"
said Jerry Luttrell, director of marketing for Interplay. "Blood & Magic
will allow gamers to experience and command a broad range of AD&D
characters, and bring them into epic battles of good over evil."

In Blood & Magic, the player portrays a powerful Mage that can summon
legendary figures from the Forgotten Realms world to aid in his conquests.
The player must be aware, he must contend with rivals that possess guile
and wrath equal to his own. Each scenario begins in control of a portal,
through which the player can summon loyal Acolytes. Acolytes transform
into more powerful beings at various mystical sites. This original
transformation feature, combined with clever exploitation of each
environment, are the components for victory in Blood & Magic.

TSR is the world's largest manufacturer of role-playing adventure games and
books, including the best-selling line of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons
games. More than 2 million copies of AD&D computer and video games have
been sold to date. Interplay's agreement with TSR allows them to produce
computer, home video and coin-operated games.
