dtF, the relational database system for Apple Macintosh will be presented
at MacWorld San Francisco 1996 which will take place in San Francisco
California January 9-12th at the Moscone Center.

We will be releasing two new HOT products at the show, the dtF Database
Toolkit for OpenDoc and dtF v1.6 featuring numerous SQL enhancements and
ODBC.

The dtF Database Toolkit, currently shipping for the dtF v1.6 database
system, is one of the first commercial products for end-users to take
advantage of the OpenDoc component software architecture. The dtF Database
Toolkit will enable consultants, VARs and end-users to create documents
containing data from relational databases like dtF, 4D or Oracle by using
standard OpenDoc techniques like linking and drag & drop. The different
parts within the dtF Database Toolkit can be integrated with any OpenDoc
compatible third-party parts and containers, empowering users to easily
integrate SQL-data with traditional word-processing, spreadsheet, graphics
or DTP-documents.

dtF v1.6 is the latest release of the cross-platform relational database
system for C/C++, HyperCard, SuperCard, Pictorius Peregrine,
SmalltalkAgents and Apple Media Toolkit developers. New features include
numerous SQL2/SQL3-features, referential integrity, self-learning query
optimization, HyperCard XCMDs for BLOB-handling, OpenDoc part editors and
libraries for creation of OpenDoc database part editors. dtF is also
responding to developer's requests by introducing an ODBC driver which
will allow developers to use industry standard frontending tools to access
dtF databases.
