COMPUSERVE JOURNALISM FORUM OFFERS NEW ONLINE SERVICE FOR BUSINESS
REPORTERS

Cyberspace - BizNews, a new online service for business reporters, will
open on Wednesday, January 3, 1996 in CompuServe's Journalism Forum
(JFORUM). The JFORUM is the primary online meeting place for journalists,
and BizNews will create a "virtual community" for business reporters there
for the first time.

A new concept in online resources for business reporters, BizNews will
provide news about business trends, studies of business, and business
research. It will not contain information about individual commercial
products, services or companies, but will specialize in giving reporters
electronic access to information from a broader perspective, covering the
entire spectrum of business.

More than 110 collegiate schools of business and scores of other university
colleges, schools, departments, programs and centers will participate in
this resource and be electronically connected to the network. (See list
below) BizNews gives reporters information with added value; BizNews is a
comprehensive library of information stored in an easy-to-use database. At
any time and at their convenience, reporters can perform simple key-word
searches to find relevant information in the archive. The database will
contain the most recent news, trends and developments in management,
marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, labor, accounting, trade,
employment, manufacturing and industry.

"We're starting BizNews because of the suggestions and requests of several
groups and individuals who have expressed an interest in creating an
online community and service for business reporters," said Roger S.
Johnson, founder of BizNews and a freelance reporter in the Washington, DC
area. "The concept for BizNews grew out of the success we have
demonstrated by creating and developing SciNews-MedNews into such a
service for science and medical writers."

The first part of this service will be a library or searchable database of
news from the leading business research institutions. This will create a
one-stop nexus where business reporters can interact with the institutions
and search or browse the news archive. BizNews provides a new easy to use
technology for scanning and gathering news ideas and accessing experts
from a particular domain of business news.

BizNews will establish the first online community dedicated to business
reporters and will locate it in the major electronic watering hole for
journalists--CompuServe's Journalism Forum . "Our vision is to create a
service business reporters value and find indispensable in their work,"
Johnson added.

To access BizNews just log on to CompuServe and GO JFORUM. You'll then find
