CIRQUE CORPORATION SHIPS GLIDEPOINT WAVE KEYBOARD

New keyboard combines a split-key, "natural" design with state-of-the-art
trackpad technology.

SALT LAKE CITY, January 15, 1996 -- Cirque Corporation, the original
developer of GlidePoint technology, today announces shipment of the Cirque
GlidePoint Wave Keyboard, the first "natural", split-key keyboard to
incorporate GlidePoint technology.

"In the portable market, GlidePoint trackpads offer a natural interface
that is reliable and comfortable to use. Now, as a growing number of
people spend increasingly long hours working at a desktop computer, we
recognize the need for an advanced keyboard design that offers cursor
control with these same benefits." said Jim O'Callaghan, Cirque's
executive vice president of marketing and sales. "Integrated into a
responsibly designed keyboard, the GlidePoint trackpad offers reliability
and comfort to the desktop as it has the portable market.

Building on its experience as the leader in the fast-growing trackpad
market, Cirque has developed the GlidePoint Wave Keyboard for IBM
compatible computers offering the same easy installation, standard driver
compatibility, and interactive tutorial the company provides with its
standalone trackpad products.

The Cirque GlidePoint Wave Keyboard is available with AT, serial, and PS/2
connections. At $129.00 (SRP), Cirque anticipates a street price of about
$99.00.

New Features

Cirque is first to combine a natural, split-key design with proven
GlidePoint performance. The Cirque GlidePoint Wave Keyboard features a
split 109-key layout with an integrated trackpad, Windows 95 keys, extra
backspace, tab, and mouse keys, and a built-in wristrest. The driver is
compatible with DOS, Windows, and Windows 95 environments. A comprehensive
manual is included for English, French, and German-speaking customers.

Optional Bodysavers stress-relief software is also available from Cirque.
"Research shows that frequent work breaks and simple stretches promote
safety and comfort at the keyboard," states O'Callaghan. "Bodysavers
provides timed break reminders and quick and easy stretches, which we hope
will raise an awareness of comfort in the computing environment."

How GlidePoint technology works

The GlidePoint trackpad achieves high internal resolution (1,000 cpi) using
a patented mutual capacitance sensing system. A grid of electrodes lies
hidden beneath the touch surface. Presence and movement of a finger alters
the mutual capacitance between electrodes, which are measured by precision
electronics. Wherever a finger goes on the surface, the cursor goes on the
screen. Tapping on the pad simulates button "clicks". Tap and hold creates
"drag", draw, and highlight operations

GlidePoint is a solid-state technology with no moving parts to clog or
break down. Mechanical buttons are available for optional use.

Customer Support

The Cirque GlidePoint Wave Keyboard comes with a three-year warranty,
toll-free technical assistance (1-800-GLIDE-75), and Cirque's free
GlideGuarantee customer service program.

Cirque, a privately-held Utah corporation, was founded in 1991 with a
mission to provide intuitive and rich interfaces for direct fingertip
control of computers. As the original developer of GlidePoint technology,
Cirque manufactures a broad product line of trackpads for mobile and
desktop environments. Cirque currently licenses patented GlidePoint
technology to Alps Electric Inc. and other non-disclosed companies.
