CINCOM Expands Archiving Capabilities of Document Solutions

CINCOM'S DOCUMENT SOLUTIONS GROUP ANNOUNCES MAJOR RELEASE OF DOCUMENT
ARCHIVING SYSTEM, M/ARCHIVE

UNLIMITED DOCUMENT STORAGE CAPACITY DESIGNED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF
CLIENT/SERVER ENVIRONMENT

M/ARCHIVE IS THE DOCUMENT ARCHIVING COMPONENT OF AURORADS, CINCOM'S SUITE
OF DOCUMENT SOLUTION PRODUCTS

CINCINNATI, OHIO, January 22, 1996 -- The Document Solutions Group of
Cincom Systems, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of Release
1.4.7 of M/Archive. The primary purpose of this new release is expansion
of the archiving storage capacity to accommodate the needs of
organizations such as insurance companies, financial institutions,
utilities, and government agencies for electronic document storage. The
new storage capacity is virtually unlimited. The multifile storage
architecture also allows categories of like documents to be archived on
individual files. This allows for simplified and selective backup and
restore procedures.

M/Archive Release 1.4.7 is designed to support a client/server environment.
Through M/Archive, an end user using a PC can query and search for
archived documents that may ultimately be stored on a local server,
mainframe, or other storage media. All indices required to identify and
select a specific archived document, or range of archived documents, are
maintained in the online system.

"The expanded storage capacity now available in M/Archive provides
tremendous value to our users," stated Nic Carter, Cincom's Document
Solutions Group International Product Manager. "This enhancement satisfies
the document storage needs of our highest volume customers while at the
same time providing them easy access to those documents through a desktop
PC."

M/Archive Release 1.4.7 was beta tested at five user sites around the world
including the Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation, which is required to
maintain an electronic copy of all correspondence.

M/Archive is a component of AuroraDS, Cincom's suite of client/server
document solution products. These products enable users to automate the
business processes related to correspondence and document generation,
printing, and archiving. With M/Archive users can store information
created by Cincom's document production systems, other word processing and
spreadsheet packages, and any data generated electronically including
scanned images. Users can easily retrieve documents using keyword or full
text searches, view them anywhere, and print them in the software
environment from which they were stored. Many customers are using
M/Archive as a cost-effective alternative to imaging software.
