BLUERIDGE ADDS HYPERLINKS TO THE LEADING DOCUMENT IMAGING SYSTEM FOR THE
MACINTOSH

FLINT HILL, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--January 29, 1996 --- Blueridge
Technologies, "The Internet Document Management Company," announces OPTIX
Hot Links, a new hyperlinking technology for the OPTIX Document Imaging
System, the most widely installed document imaging system for the
Macintosh (OPTIX also supports Windows).

OPTIX Hot Links allows you to link any document in your OPTIX database with
any other document. You can even link OPTIX documents to sites on the
World Wide Web. You can then navigate from one document to another simply
by clicking on the hyperlinks.

OPTIX Hot Links let you relate documents to one another; by retrieving one
document, you make it easy to retrieve all of the other documents you've
linked to it. For example, suppose you receive a letter pertaining to
three recent orders that one of your best customers has placed with you.
When you enter that letter into your OPTIX database, you can link it to
each of the three orders it refers to. Later, if the customer calls you
about the letter, when you retrieve it from OPTIX, you can instantly
retrieve the three orders that are referenced in the letter, instead of
having to do separate searches for each of them.

OPTIX Hot Links supports "drag and drop" technology, so that all you have
to do to link one document to another is to drag it on top of the other.
All types of computer files can be stored on an OPTIX system, including
document images, word processing files, spreadsheets, databases, etc., and
OPTIX Hot Links work with any of these file types. You can link a
spreadsheet to an image, a database to a graphic, or a wordprocessing file
to a site on the World Wide Web.
