America Online and Reebok Announce The First Annual Online Music Awards

AOL's MusicSpace to Host The World's First Music Award Program in
Cyberspace

Vienna, VA, January 17, 1996---- America Online and Reebok announced today
that they will host the first ever Online Music Awards (OMA''s) where
AOL's community of over 4.5 million members can vote for their favorite
artists, releases, and music cybersites for 1996. The winners of the OMA's
will be announced during an online events ceremony in AOL Live on February
5, 1996.

"Members of the music industry and music-lovers alike embraced online
technology very early on--as a way to reach fans, other artists, and share
industry information," said Ted Leonsis, President of AOL Services
Company. "With the popularity and phenomenal growth of online services it
is fitting that AOL should have it's own music awards specific to this new
medium."

Beginning January 15, AOL members may make nominations for 51 categories
including "Reebok Activist Award," "Best (Music) Cybersite," and "Most
Active Artist Online." The Reebok Artist Activist Award will be given to
the musical artist that AOL members consider to have made the biggest
contribution to environmental and/or humanitarian causes during the last
year. The Final Nominees will be announced on January 23. America Online
members may cast their final vote January 23-29. Winner's will receive a
1996 OMA commemorative award when they are announced during the online
ceremony on February 5. AOL members can find more information, nominate
artists and vote online by using Keyword: OMA.

America Online members who participate in the OMA's by submitting a ballot
will automatically be eligible to win a "Wild Hair Weekend" courtesy of
RPMC Travel Services and AOL. The "Wild Hair Weekend" includes: airfare,
hotel, transportation, dinner and concert tickets to see an artist of
their choice perform in one of 6 major cities within the continental U.S.
