SUPERCARD 2.5-FRENCH VERSION SHIPS

PARIS-BASED AWARE DELIVERS LOCALIZED SUPERCARD 2.5

SAN DIEGO - January 2, 1996 - Allegiant Technologies, Inc. and Aware of
Paris, France, today jointly announced the shipment of the French language
version of SuperCard 2.5 on December 29, 1995.

Aware engineers worked closely with Allegiant to optimize SuperCard for the
French market, localizing to the French language Allegiant's flagship
authoring tool for delivering interactive multimedia content and custom
applications. Just two weeks ago SuperCard 2.5 won the 1995 MacUser
Editors' Choice Award for Best New Multimedia Authoring Application.

"France has maintained a leading position within the European market for
Macintosh, so we're very excited to deliver a native-language version of
SuperCard to French users," commented Bill Gordon, Director of Worldwide
Sales for Allegiant.

Francis Lennert, Aware's Macintosh Division Manager, added that "The
multimedia market has historically been very strong in France. The release
of a French version of SuperCard is expected to further increase
SuperCard's popularity and empower people to achieve greater success with
the this award-winning tool."

As part of a limited-time, introductory promotion, Aware will include the
SuperCard MultiMedia MegaStudio CD-ROM for free with the standard retail
version of SuperCard 2.5F. The MegaStudio CD-ROM includes SuperCard 2.5,
Avid VideoShop 3.0, Gryphon Morph 2.5, Specular LogoMotion, Specular
TextureScape, and Opcode AudioShop.

SuperCard 2.5F shares technical specifications with its English
counterpart, which originally shipped on July 31, 1995. New features for
2.5F include full Power-Macintosh acceleration, built-in QuickTime
support, a powerful Standalone Maker utility, hypertext, advanced sound
features, multi-frame "Filmstrip" animations, and new reference
documentation.

Highlights of the French release include support for French characters,
full translation of SuperCard's Runtime Editor, and localized sample
projects and documentation. SuperTalk, SuperCard's powerful scripting
language that is based on Apple's industry standard HyperTalk, remains in
English.

As in earlier versions of SuperCard, there is no runtime licensing fee
associated with distributing SuperCard-based standalone applications that
are not in themselves authoring tools.
